Yeah, it happens. But anyway, thanks for repeating my comment. I was afraid nobody would notice.

So then, Article 2 Sections 1 & 2 shold clear up any doubt in your mind:

Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress: but no Senator or Representative, or Person holding an Office of Trust or Profit under the United States, shall be appointed an Elector.

The Electors shall meet in their respective States, and vote by Ballot for two Persons, of whom one at least shall not be an Inhabitant of the same State with themselves. And they shall make a List of all the Persons voted for, and of the Number of Votes for each; which List they shall sign and certify, and transmit sealed to the Seat of the Government of the United States, directed to the President of the Senate. The President of the Senate shall, in the Presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the Certificates, and the Votes shall then be counted. The Person having the greatest Number of Votes shall be the President, if such Number be a Majority of the whole Number of Electors appointed; and if there be more than one who have such Majority, and have an equal Number of Votes, then the House of Representatives shall immediately chuse by Ballot one of them for President; and if no Person have a Majority, then from the five highest on the List the said House shall in like Manner chuse the President. But in chusing the President, the Votes shall be taken by States, the Representation from each State having one Vote; A quorum for this Purpose shall consist of a Member or Members from two thirds of the States, and a Majority of all the States shall be necessary to a Choice. In every Case, after the Choice of the President, the Person having the greatest Number of Votes of the Electors shall be the Vice President. But if there should remain two or more who have equal Votes, the Senate shall chuse from them by Ballot the Vice President.

I disagree. I think this was needed to get those to see how corrupt the R’s are. Many who are now supporting Trump would not have thinking he was a spoiler for Clinton.

Constitutionally cited “Electors” are not the equivalent of Party Nomination Delegates.

What this is really doing is reinforcing The Donald’s status as the outsider trying to fix the corrupt policies of the Washington establishment.

Maybe his followers should unite and start a new party? (I'm passing on the opportunity to suggest names... even though I have a few) :) That is what it will take to "have say".

To embellish this idea, of actually having a say with a 3rd party, our legislature would have to be restructured into a parliamentary body. This will never happen. Some of us thought that the soundest way of restructuring the body politic was from within the Republican Party.

You are right, we are wrong. Rather than watch and suffer the country to die by a thousand cuts, we, the ones who sadly watched King Romney get trounced by Choom gang Mr. Obama, will contemplate a single, carotid slice and the repercussions of the next four year takeover by the Communist party Dems.

Nope... you don’t have to stay. You could feel the bern... or you could become a libertarian.... or you could just skip the primary process all around and vote in the general each election for whomever you want to be king...

When the primary comes around in my state, I will vote. If my vote ends up not counting because it was ignored, I will not vote in the general election.

This election has been a real eye opener. There is no way for voters to win.

Mine gets burn on April 25th, one minute after I vote for Trump. This is the first election where I was registered to vote in any particular party.

The fix is in.

Priebus caught saying to use the Diebolt machines to keep Trump under 50% in NY

Colorado is stolen from the people without any form of voting.

It’s a matter of months before we find ourselves officially in the modern dark ages of communism.

That’s for the Electoral College at the national level. We’re talking about the selection of delegates for individual party nominations.

And for what it’s worth, several Presidents have been “selected” by the Electoral College when they didn’t win the popular vote.

This is in reference to the general election and the electoral collegs. Nice try though.

Has NOTHING to do with the primary.

You refuse to answer the first question. The answer is Delegate is nonexistent. Delegate is fraud.

At least you admit ignorance of the Constitution by avoiding with another question. Nobody understands Constitutional Elections because the Article clause was twice written and Amendment 12 is still gravely flawed.

But to answer question 2 Government MUST make a list of all persons. Republican is not a person. What is his first name? Is Republican his last name?

Even worse the party brand BANS other persons.

If I find time, I will write a book on U.S. Elections, and maybe even write a future Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Why not, 250 years later, 100s millions people and the clause is still flawed. That many people cannot write 2 coherent paragraphs.

But consider this, pretty much ...

Everything everybody knows about elections is false. :-)

“I hate to rain on your parade, but Cruz read the rulebook, and played by the rules, no matter how byzantine. . .”

This is what I think of the rules
Psalms 94:20: Can a corrupt throne be allied with you—
a throne that brings on misery by its decrees?

I consider voting one of the most sacred parts of our republic. It is our national right. For someone who discusses extensively about how he is a “true conservative” and will uphold the Constitution, he shows me none of this. We are a representative republic. Yeah, sure the GOP is a private organization, but if you want to behave in a way that usurps the founders principles, then I simple believe you are a very dishonest person.

The parties emulated the electoral system within the States.
The delegates are analogous to the electors but, the parties are non governmental and can set up any mechanism to define their “electors” they choose, much as the States can. They can hold primaries, conventions or sleep-overs if they desire. Trump chose to run as a republican (though he has supported democrats and their policies many times) because third party candidates have not been terribly successful in the past. Now he says, I made it to third base and should just be given credit for a home run.

I agree with your assessment. As we know, the "party" doesn't care either way. As patriots we have to decide if we want to vote for the lesser of two evils for the sake of the country or if we just want to move to the farm, not vote, and not worry about it.

I personally view Cruz differently than the trumpsters. I believe he is fundamentally more conservative than any of the other candidates. Is he the perfect candidate?? Nope. But he is the best we've seen in a long time from my perspective. Trump is dynamite. The only reason to vote for Trump would be to blow up the party. While blowing up the part is attractive to all of us at some level, electing a conservative is more attractive to me. Hence my support for Cruz.

I realize the establishment is gathering around Cruz. I'm fine with that, because at the end of the day I believe he will remain a conservative. I believe they are with Cruz just to stop the dynamite from blowing up the party. The only real question is whether or not they play the nuke card and nominate neither of the two. If they do... it's time to move to the ranch, go off the grid, and just talk to the cows all day.
