Across Europe, a once-tender embrace of those fleeing conflicts on the continents doorstep has evolved into an uncompromising rejection.Funny how raping and robbing the locals tends to wear out your welcome in a hurry, eh?

The author of this piece assumes that all migrants are refugees and takes secondhand accounts of their sad stories at face value.

It appears that she just shifted the problem to someone else. If she had any character she would have adopted and supported them herself. It’s easy to spend other people’s money, at least until it runs out. Will she be legally an accessory to any crimes that they commit?
Unfortunately she is probably just another dumb “emotion freak” that can’t leave the half froze viper alone.

Should read: take an active stand on self preservation.

That was what I read as well. The woman should be welcomed as a hero.

Best thing, that would really annoy her.

Then Sweden would prosecute them for "illegal" dumping.

It’s not Denmark or the Danes who have taken a nasty turn. It’s the refugees who have done that.
Typical lamestream dinosaur media reporting.

assuming the author even spoke with the refugees- at least as likely made up the stories
To: Nailbiter
at least as likely made up the stories Actually more likely a different "journalist" made up the story and this one is just repeating it.

I remember when, here in this country, you could sponsor an immigrant family by guaranteeing them a job, etc. That way innocent taxpayers weren’t on the hook. Nowadays, innocent taxpayers and citizens are on the hook for everything.
To: TroutStalker
A country can chose to (attempt to) be a “social welfare utopia”; or it can chose to have open borders. It can’t have both.

"Nowadays, innocent taxpayers and citizens are on the hook for everything." The U.S. immigration service still accepts affidavits of support when a person sponsors an immigrant. At least they did in 2010. It lasts roughly until the immigrant accomplishes ten years of self-support.
Of course, if the government is the sponsor, then you and I are on the hook, whether we choose to be or not.
