Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.
Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.
On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.
But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.
Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.
Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.
They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.
This email was sent out Monday afternoon.
St. Louis, Missouri:
“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.
“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.
“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

Yeah, and my grandmother is a staunch Democrat who as been proudly voting for them since FDR.
Yet her daughter is a staunch pro-life woman who has never voted for Democrat ever, except for the local coroner position.

I also firmly believe that if he’s the nominee he has NO chance whatsoever of winning against Hillary.
Therefore, if he were the nominee and if I voted for him, the end result would be EXACTLY the same as if I stayed home and did nothing - except I’d feel better about myself for not supporting a dirtbag for President.

IMO Where control of power and money might be this is not at all uncommon.
Here in Beverly Hills my successful estate lawyer friend tells me they always have to have wills and trusts stating they can not inherit if they try and kill the parents. Common where money is concerned especially these days with the great erosion of character.

The Board of Eagle Forum, a 501(c)(4) corporation, held a Board meeting in accordance with and pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws and Illinois State Law at 2 pm CDT on April 11, 2016.
Pursuant to the By-Laws, Eagle Forum First Vice President, Eunie Smith, presided over the meeting. Eagle Forum Founder, Mrs. Phyllis Schlafly, the Chairman of the Board, was present during the entire meeting, including expressing herself on all seven votes. In Schlafly’s opening statement she said she has spent her life building Eagle Forum as a unique organization of volunteers. She also said that paid staff cannot order volunteers around.
Mrs. Smith said, “The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that Eagle Forum will continue long into the future as a viable force for all the causes we have addressed in the past, for God, family and country.”
The Board of Eagle Forum voted to remove Mr. Ed Martin as President of the corporation; effective immediately. Mrs. Eunie Smith is serving as President until a new President is elected pursuant to the Eagle Forum By-Laws.
Mrs. Smith appointed Eagle Forum Board Vice Chairman, Anne Schlafly Cori, daughter of Phyllis Schlafly, as Executive Director of Eagle Forum. Anne Schlafly Cori has worked with our state organizations and worked alongside Phyllis for some time.
Anne Schlafly Cori said, “I am honored and excited to be working with our wonderful state volunteer leaders from across the country. We are continuing the incredible legacy of our Founder Phyllis Schlafly.”
Dr. Shirley Curry was directed to lead a Search Committee for a new president of Eagle Forum.
I will admit I read the unfortunate Colorado transcript late last night. One of Rush’s worst. I was stunned by his advocacy and pig-headed support of Colorado’s “rules.”
For me, Keyes was more of a fad candidate, although I faithfully prayed for him, but I do remember Rush never giving him a fair shake.
I just looked at Twitter and Laura was there a few minutes ago, so I’ll search for a radio station right now, so I can switch as soon as Rush starts to sour my mood... LOL.

Bud, if Slyfox fabricated what he posted, then I am guilty of citing it as an earlier post in the exchange here. If you go back and read my first post, you will see that I was citing an earlier post trying to get to the actual facts by discussion of the article posted in this thread. Over 90 percent of the posts were spitting back and forth without involving the article or issues in question in their exchanges
As for citing that those of us that are strong willed get difficult to deal with by other family members, I was referring to my first hand family experience. I am a senior citizen and merely speaking of a fact of life.
