The GOP Elites are getting all their ducks in a row.
Theyre spending millions to attack and discredit Trump.
Behind the scenes, they are cutting deals with delegates.
They are pulling out all the tricks at primary polls.
Now, heres the ultimate insult to Republican voters.
The Republican National Committee launched a new website to prepare the public for a contested GOP convention:
The website outlines party rules for delegates and the process that occurs if no GOP candidate reaches the threshold of 1,237 delegates.
ConventionFacts.gop is a tool for voters to learn about convention delegates, rules, and how the overall process works in a simple, easy to understand format, Reince Priebus, the RNC chairman, stated. Conventions are democracy in action and our Partys gathering in Cleveland will be an exciting, transparent, and fair process.
Transparent and fair?
Hardly.

Well, at least the Cruz folks can be absolutely assured of who they are working for.
Ted? Nope!
absolutely guaranteeing a loss in november
conventionfacts.gop
It works; it redirects you to gop.com, but it works.
Who new there was a .gop domain?
Not sure this is good or bad for the Republican party. I can imagine a lot of funny/subversive domain names ending in .gop .
How long till someone registers ElectHillary.gop; ElectTrump.gop; or WeSuck.gop?
It’s going to be funny when we get done with this a giant circle jerk....we all end up back with Jeb as the nominee
Still trying to push that tired old meme?
Maybe the incompetent Trump team should used this tool to learn what the rules are this time, instead of losing and whining.
After firing the organizer initially put in charge of Colorado last week, Trumps team hired Patrick Davis, a GOP operative from Colorado Springs, to put together a slate in an effort to win some of the delegate slots to be elected by just fewer than 4,000 party activists at Saturdays assembly. Heading in, Cruz had already swept the seven assemblies held in the states congressional districts, each of which elect three delegates, giving him 21 of Colorados 34 elected delegates a majority before ballots hit the floor at the state convention.
Trumps last-minute organizing effort did not go well. The leaflet his campaign handed out listed a slate of 26 delegates. But in many cases the numbers indicating their ballot position more than 600 delegates are running for 13 slots were off, meaning that Trumps team was mistakenly directing votes toward other candidates delegates.
What they are trying to do is stop the hemorrhaging the party will face after the convention picks someone other than either of the 2 frontrunners. Like everything else the Republican Party attempts to do, it will fail miserably. Too many have simply lost faith in them.
Disgusting self-interested, greedy, to-hell-with-the-voters politicians. Had the GOP expended 1/4 the effort to fight Obama as they have to fight Trump he most likely wouldn’t even be running for President.
If you can’t even grasp this, what the hell are you wasting your time here for?
Maybe the incompetent Trump team should used this tool to learn what the rules are this time, instead of losing and whining.
This is why people hate lawyers. Because they take something that should be simple and easy to understand and make it convoluted.
Fine then, I think I'll set up a website called NuclearOptionfacts.org to prepare the GOPe for what might happen if they mess with Trump - basically, they'll need to understand what losing massive House and Senate races means to their retirement plans.
Why is publishing the rules where everyone can read them a “travesty”?
Maybe the GOPe should give up trying to convince us winning an election without votes is a-okay....
Do they want a third party? And I am not even talking of Trump? Because this is how you get a third party since apparently playing by other people’s rules here insures defeat.
I find it ironic that Beck God is Cruz cruzboats not see the irony of calling Trump a man who only wants to play by his own rules type dictator and doing much worse and throwing him into there. Not like the GOP is not afraid to play by Democrats shared rules either in bipartisanship. The GOPe are traitors and Cruz is one too. Because he got furious at Cotton for Cotton showing how much of a fake conservative he was on Corker.
The nominating process should be a run-off election. First one with 50% + 1 is the nominee. Also need to have some minimum threshold to proceed to the next round. The winner gets to draft the party platform.
This process could be completed in a few weeks. No more conventions. No more delegates.
Uh, no. A political convention may be described in a lot of ways but it is the very opposite of a democracy. In a democracy there are no political conventions. The question is put, the voters vote, the majority wins.
Democracies do tend to have their own set of problems - wild policy swings and a susceptibility to demagoguery, to mention two - but what they do not have is a layer of political bosses manipulating the outcome by controlling the rules that allow some voters to be "more equal" than others.
Sorry, there are some here who remain unmesmerized by Trump. I am among them.
