Cruz: Christie 'in his own private hell' for backing Trump

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie is "in his own private hell" over his February endorsement of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said Tuesday.

Appearing on "The Glenn Beck Show," Cruz told the conservative host that Trump seemed to insist on behaving like the famous fictional Mafia don depicted in Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather," Michael Corleone.

"The presidency should not be La Cosa Nostra," said Cruz, adding that the real estate tycoon seemed to demand a similar level of "Godfather"-like deference and respect from the governor.

"You know what gets me," Cruz said. "The servility of Chris Christie being forced to call him, 'Mr. Trump.' Chris Christie is a good man."

Cruz is 100% right about that. You could see it all over Christie’s face at one of Trump’s events a few weeks ago. As a side, I thought all true conservatives believed Christie is GOPe, especially after that Obama hug. Oh the tangled webs we weave.

From what I hear that is the story of his like. Most people take an instant dislike to him. It saves them time.

Maybe Christie is happy and content that he endorsed Trump.

Cruz just has sour grapes, because Christie didn’t endorse him.

As usual, his correct observations earn derision such as “sick dude”

I think people call him sick dude because he is an asshole.

I used to really like Ted Cruz , but now that his mask has come off , exposing him for the slimy , snarky lawyer that he is , I have lost all respect for him

America needs be led by warriors , not by lawyers

I used to like Ted Cruz. Now I can’t stand to listen to him.

10 months ago a friend was fervently boosting Ted Cruz but I never liked him even back then. Plus I didn't like the way he looked. I was a Scott Walker booster. When Trump announced his candidacy I changed to Trump

Quote:

“I hope Trump and Christie don’t respond to this. Just let it go.”

Why is that?

Christie should lay a Jersey smackdown on Lyin’ Ted. Something along the lines of - “I guess the GOPe made an offer that they knew Cruz couldn’t, or more correctly, wouldn’t refuse.”

An as usual some Cruz dope tries to rush in to couch any dissent from St. Ted of Gope as [insert narrative here].

Because what other “legitimate” reaction other than “praise be” can you give to any utterance from Cruz?

Same here. I'm hoping he loses his senate seat in the next election to a REAL tea party candidate.

Cruz is being used and he doesn’t even see it. The ick factor is off the charts and his political career is over at the end of this senate term.
