Cruz’s Face Says It All When Boy Hands Him a Personal Question to Ask a Young Teen Girl
Independant Journal Review ^ | 4/1/16 | Kayla Brandon

Posted on 04/13/2016 9:18:27 AM PDT by OneVike

I share this only for discussion purposes of cuteness. Whether you like Cruz or not, it's a great human interest story.

With Wisconsin’s Republican primary swiftly approaching, GOP candidates are hitting the pavement to seal the deal with voters young and old alike.

Among the teenage supporters of Ted Cruz was a boy by the name of Alex Canney who needed some help asking a girl to prom.

In the video below, (Video at site) he hands Cruz a piece of paper with a message for Sarah Beaver. Cruz smiles, puts his arm around Alex and says:

“Sarah Beaver, would you Cruz to prom with Alex Canney?”

The surrounding crowd erupts in “ohhhhhhhhh” and laughter before Cruz congratulates the lad:

“That’s strong. I’ve gotta say Alex, that’s strong.”

So did Sarah say yes? Of course she did!

Beaver tells Independent Journal Review she and Canney have been friends since freshman year of high school.

The two were attending a Cruz meet and greet in their conservative county of Cedarsburg, Wisconsin since the best pals both enjoy politics.

Beaver is actually the videographer of the surprising promposal and was “completely shocked” at what happened:

“That’s why the filming is so terrible, I had no idea why he wanted me to record him reading a note and didn’t know what was going on.”

While the pair are actually in favor of Bernie, they were still excited to meet the presidential candidate. Canney thought enlisting Cruz’s help might increase his chances at winning free tickets to prom:

“The best promposal wins free prom tickets, so Alex decided he wanted to go all out to win.”

Beaver and Canney entered their political promposal video to the contest and have been told the odds are definitely in their favor.

The duo will attend prom April 22.

They support Bernie Sanders, but chances are they are not old enough to vote.

Someone needs to do a study on why Millennials are all 'feeling the bern'

I suspect the education indoctrination centers are NOT teaching the reality of socialism.

We really have to go after this because it is so easy to knock out of the park. Just show them pictures of socialist countries, and let them sort it out for themselves.

Why even go there? What does this have to do with anything but a good story.

Don’t take this site to the gutter, or I will have it deleted

Beaver is wearing elf shoes with her dress.
Canney opted for a belt and suspenders for his prom costume.
Do they no longer advise kids how to get dressed for formal events?

Cute little couple.

Can only imagine her life in school as Sarah 'Beaver'.

I'm sure he's learned to deal/cope with the jokes.

Jerry Mathers wishes he had a Sarah growing up in Mayfield.

Young people have been liberal (and foolish) for time immemorial. There is a reason this is a famous quotation attributed to various people in various forms over the years:

“A man who has not been a socialist before 25 has no heart. If he remains one after 25 he has no head.”—King Oscar II of Sweden

Lots of people with lots of student debt are getting introduced to reality and personally learning more about life as we speak. The latest group too will for the most part grow up.

Yes, a $3,000 prom suit, rent a tux, flowers, a limo for the night and dinner. All paid for by mom and dad. Thank goodness we are not seeing all of that hyped up so much any more.
