Johnny Manziel accused of trashing pad with booze- and drug-filled ragers
Call it a case of affluenza. Rich-kid quarterback Johnny Manziels facing more questions about alcohol and drug use after he threw a wild party at a rented LA house, where he and his friends allegedly caused $32,000 in damage.
Manziel, who comes from a Texas oil family and whose NFL future is in peril, rented a house in West Hollywood for two days last week with a pal. The pairs said to have thrown two all-night ragers that prompted neighbors, including comic Kathy Griffin, to call police.
Its claimed Manziel and his group left the house strewn with booze and drugs, broke an expensive glass table and a bathroom door, and left wine stains and cigarette burns on carpets. Pictures obtained by Page Six show lines of suspicious white powder on a table, and an open bag of what is claimed to be magic mushrooms.
Former Browns QB Manziel who last year went to rehab, but whose agent Drew Rosenhaus is dropping him in hopes of helping him get the treatment I believe he needs has been served with a legal demand for nearly $32,000 for damage caused to the $4.5 million pad. It was rented to Manziel by real estate broker Nicholas Goodwin, whose company LA Exotic Life rents vacation properties.
Goodwins lawyer, Niki Ghazian, wrote Manziels reps: Mr. Manziel threw large parties on both nights, causing extensive damage . . . Evidence suggests [Manziel] and his guests were consuming drugs and alcohol . . . and that they caused a disturbance to the neighborhood, which led to the LAPD being called on April 6.
Goodwin tells Page Six he returned to the house to find it trashed and Manziel crashed on the sofa at 2 p.m. He said, They were supposed to check out at noon. Manziel was passed out . . . There was cocaine all over the kitchen table, and mushrooms were still out on the table in front of him. There was booze everywhere . . . broken glasses over the floor and a Champagne glass in a tree. He added, If they dont respond to our demand for compensation, we will sue. Manziel, his lawyers, and Rosenhaus didnt get back to us.
Money doesn’t mean class. Another case of affluenza no doubt.
The tragedy here is that this young man will most likely die before he changes
If they didn’t need a dumpster to remove all the debris, it falls well short of ‘trashed.’
Heard Ryan the other day reach out to Manziel. Said.... If you want, call me anytime... or words to that effect. Said it's up to Manziel to make that move.
We woke up one afternoon to discover pieces of record albums impaled in the wall.
Not sure how that happened. Apparently it was time to purge music we no longer cared for.
That makes no sense at all
you’re right.
what a waste.
What a worthless a-hole.
I remember watching the movie "Daft Day" with Kevin Costner - plot was almost identical to real life. Cleveland Browns sucked, had first pick, and was trying to decide between glamorous party-boy QB and hard working linebacker. In the movie, Costner (playing the Browns GM) surprises everyone and picks the linebacker and avoids the QB we know will be a bust. In real life, of course, the Browns pick the party-boy QB...too funny. Hollywood actually did better due diligence than the real Browns.
LOL! Totally agree. I might not approve of Manziel's behavior (without throwing any stones), but he gets big points in my book for annoying Griffin.
Speaking of Keith Moon, there's a live "spoken word" version of "Life's Been Good" by Joe Walsh, wherein Joe explains some of the song's genesis. It involves Keith Moon and a chainsaw.
But he was the only one to take more shots than Kobe that day.
Another source, I think it was the LA Times, had an article regarding his sports agent -- said he'll quit unless Johnny Football gets and stays clean. He's unemployed, unemployable, and his money is going to run out, soon.
Agreed.
Assuming he makes it that far, Manziel would be a good pick for next year’s “Dead Pool.”
I gave Johnny the benefit of the doubt for a long time, no longer.
Next he’ll trash the Heisman House.
Not so sure you need to be that hard on him. He is failing to fight his demons. Some guys like this lose their life way to early. I feel sad for him.
A top tier agent dropping a golden arm Manziel is all I need to know about Manziel and his partying........
Manziel is beyond needing help, he's already gone thru extensive rehab........
His football career is over, there is not a team in the NFL that's going to sign this kid to any legitimate contract until he proves he is clean and sober.............
Wasn’t Rosenhaus TO’s agent? If a guy can tolerate that prima donna for that amount of time, then it shows how bad Johnny Football must be.
