Winning the popular vote might not help Donald in Pennsylvania(NY Post)

Donald Trump could easily win Pennsylvania’s popular vote in a couple of weeks — but end up with less than a majority of its delegates under the state’s quirky rules.

A Monmouth University poll released Thursday shows Trump with a large lead in the delegate-rich Keystone State, with 44 percent of the vote to 28 for Ted Cruz and 23 for John Kasich.

Trump leads in all regions of the state ahead of the April 26 primary. But while he may get the most votes, he might not get most of the 71 delegates. Only 17 of the state’s 71 delegates are awarded to the top vote getter.

The other 54 are assigned to candidates running for delegate spots in 18 congressional districts. Under the rules, the 54 elected delegates can vote for whomever they want for president at the GOP convention in Cleveland this summer.

Pennsylvania GOP officials said the Cruz campaign has been the most organized in fielding candidates in delegate races.

Hate to break this to everyone, but the polling of delegates is that 2/3 of those up for election intend to follow their district the other 1/3 are committed to one person or another no matter what.. so while Cruz can and will likely pick up some delegates just based on voter ignorance, Trump will take the vast majority of PA’s delegates.. and this is a 3 way street... Trump could win a district and a Cruz delegate could get elected there, the same can happen in a district Cruz could win.. So if Cruz backers are hoping this will give them so major win, they are fooling themselves....

Breakdown of delegates up for election shows those that have committed to a delegate and are not going to follow their district are pretty evenly split... so just as much odds either guy will pick up a flipper as the other... or in other words.. this will mostly just be a wash.

First Trump says in that interview he wants most folks on private plans

The interviewer was attempting interject words/phrases in his mouth, when trump was following a particular train of though.

He has three times since clarified his stance.

he wants private plans

he wants lower costs by allowing larger pools across state lines. He has also stated he want to allow lower feature plans. he, only once alluded to having to have tort reform to lower costs. as He said this but once it is fair to say he is not committed to that reform.

He wants the state to cover the uninsured for catastrophic care, as the method used prior, having private plans subsidize the un-insured did not work and made it harder and more expensive for private plans to be offered.

However on all three occasions he went into it in detail, he said he is for fully removing all of Obama care.

What he advocates is not socialism or single payer, it is an attempt to get move the incentives to allow the free market to offer a lower cost solution, and have the government pick up what the free market refuses to.

Not a perfect plan but neither is Teds.

That said on the basis of some of his early comments in the fall, I can understand how folks would not trust him.

maybe Ted as his VP would build trust.

>>And that my friends exposes the corruption in the primary process.<<

It does nothing of the sort, but your comment exposes your devotion to your dear leader. Trump whines and tells you something is corrupt (it couldn’t be his incompetence, after all) and you obediently go forth and spread the word. Try thinking for yourself for a change because if you don’t you’re going to someday find yourself part of a mob, a part you won’t be proud of when looking back at it much later.

But to your point. The GOP is selecting its own candidate using rules established in individual states. The party has every right to use those rules to try to avoid the nomination of a person with unfavorables so high that it’s would be foolhardy to place him on the ballot in November. The fact that they’ve swallowed hard and now appear to be willing to back an outsider like Cruz in an effort to avoid nominating Trump should be viewed as a conservative success story, but that story is lost on Trump followers. Instead they join him in whining “Cheaters!” That’s utter nonsense, and you should know that.

One more case of disenfranchisement in any State, Penn included, and you will have a full blown rebellion from the Republican base. We will not accept anything but a total reformation of the Republican Party and they can take their rules and stick it where the sun don’t shine because the base doesn’t like Falangist rules, and the very reason Trump is the front runner and Cruz is a loser is because the base is rejecting the GOPe. Cruz drinking this poison is even more of a reason to stop Cruz no matter what, he is a threat now to our liberty.

Okay, so.

If Trump were to bribe each delegate $10,000 to vote for him by staying within the letter of the rules, you’d be okay with that?

Like Trump just did in NY on Tuesday?

Only Trump had enough money to bribe the NY officials to close those NY voting places

He brags endlessly about his accomplishments in bribing leaders in both parties.

Logical fallacy: changing the subject.

In other words, whine whine, cry cry.

RE:”In other words, whine whine, cry cry.”

That is Trump and the Trumpees.
Every day he brag he's winning while he's whining about his losing .

If he was really winning he wouldn't be daily whining about his losing.

This thread is about Trump's sleazy henchman Stone

RE:”BAWWWWWWWWWWW”

sounds just like Trump.

Trump “BAWWWWWWWWWWW, the rules are so unfair, I should have been the nominee months ago. I must be being cheated”
