Sarah Palin is warning of a revolt if Republican establishment powers try to take the party nomination away from either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.
"How dare they? Oh these, arrogant, arrogant political operatives who underestimate the wisdom of the people,” Palin said in an interview with The Associated Press, when she was asked if she was concerned about what would happen if the party tried to choose someone who is not currently running for president, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan. (For his part, Ryan has emphatically taken himself out of the running.)
"We will rise up and say our vote does count, our activism does count and for those who would try to thwart that they’re the ones who need to leave, we don’t need to leave," the former Alaska governor and Trump surrogate said.
Palin also called some Republican leaders “snakes” and said she didn’t expect them to invite her to the convention in Cleveland.
"I can't see any of them inviting me," she said. "I think they are afraid of what I would say."
Palin also raved about Trump’s ability to be “reasonable” and his “common sense” but also said she would be willing to support Ted Cruz if he were the nominee. Although, she called some of the Texas senator’s allies “not truthful.”
"I sure want to believe it's the people around him and not Cruz as a person who would flip-flop on so many issues," she said, according to AP, referring to issues of trade and immigration.
The GOPe is fine with Hillary. They’re all in the same club.
Yup. At this point, the GOPe is struggling to find a way to lose. Hillary is — for them — a good outcome. But if either of the two Republican front-runners actually became president, it would be bad for the establishment. They must be stopped. Oddly, only one of the Republican front-runners seems to grasp this.

Yeah but what kind of revolt? That they won’t vote for the Democrat operative the GOP-Es pick? So if they pick Ryan nobody will vote for him and guess what? Hitlery will be next POTUS which is exactly what they want so they can continue to sell out the country
The Cruz folks will revolt if it’s Trump and the Trump folks will revolt if it’s Cruz. And both camps will revolt if it isn’t one or the other. What’s to loose?

You can take Cruz out of it. He hasn’t the support of one in four GOP voters and has almost no support from independents.
It’s Trump or Bust. That’s where we are at.
Trump wasn’t my first choice, but he’s the only one with a prayer in hell of bringing the majority of Republicans together to win the general election.

Palin has politically matured quite a bit over the past 8 years. She was pure amateur hour in 2008 but since then she’s proven herself to be a lot more than just a pretty face.
