Trump: If I win, I might oust RNC chairman
CNN ^ | April 18, 2016 | Daniella Diaz

If Donald Trump clinches the 1,237 delegates required to win the Republican nomination, he said he's not sure he'll keep Reince Priebus as chairman of the Republican National Committee.

"I don't know. I haven't made the determination," the Republican front-runner told The Washington Post in an interview posted Sunday.

The comments come as Trump spent the last few days attacking the Republican Party's nominating rules -- calling the process "rigged" against him -- which has caused top members to fight before their meeting in Florida later this week.

Is this a necessary feud?

I cannot recall the last time I heard the phrase "Republican National Committee" used in a positive way by anyone who is held in any esteem by most Republicans. Attacks on this Committee = votes.

Yes, time to clean house and who better to start with than the head of the GOP “Gestapo” based in Wisconsin (Walker, Ryan, etc.)!!!
Being from Maryland, I often wish our former Lt. Governor Michael Steele were still in charge. He’s a man of great integrity and impeccable character. It’s a shame that he stuck with doing commentary on MSNBC!
Cannot wait for President Trump to blow things to smithereens in Washington, D.C.!!

Trump made said he was not decided on the issue. I would be surprised if Trump would make it definitive...he is far too shrewd a negotiator to throw away leverage.

I didn’t know that the president had the power to fire the party chairman.

Probably not but look what King Obama does with the phone and pen. It seems that the President is actually a dictator and can do anything.

The nominee becomes the titular head of the party and if elected as President has historically picked the party chariman.

But not head of the RNC. That chairman is chosen by the committee members themselves. Priebus was re-elected to the spot last year and holds it until 2017, or longer if he gets re-elected again.

If the official feud is on, Trump better win on the first ballot or he is out.

Even Trumpolini the Orange Glorious doesn’t have that kind of power. RNC chairs are elected at committee meetings.

“I don’t know. I haven’t made the determination,” is not the same thing as “I’m seriously thinking of getting rid of him”.

Maybe Romney can find another job for his ‘prince’. Personally, I want the whole GOPe fired and standing on the street corner with a begging cup, and a sign... ‘will work for food’.

Yep, that's been apparent for weeks. It's first ballot or bust for Donald.

On inauguration day, President Trump ought to drive the USS Iowa up the Potomac River for the festivities.

This is the reason why the GOP oppose Trump. They know that they are going to get canned.

If Trump is head of the party, the next nominee will be decided by highest number Twitter followers.
