(CNSNews.com) - Republican Donald Trump, appearing on Thursday's "Today" show, said transgenders should be allowed to "use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate."
"So if Caitlyn Jenner were to walk into Trump Tower and want to use the bathroom, you would be fine with her using any bathroom she chooses?" host Matt Lauer asked Trump.
"That is correct," Trump said.
Asked for his view on the North Carolina bathroom controversy, Trump said the state has "paid a big price" for requiring transgenders to use the restroom that corresponds with their biological sex.
"Leave it the way it is," he said.
"One of the best answers I heard was from a commentator yesterday, saying 'Leave it the way it is right now.' There have been very few problems. Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they're going through with all of the business that's leaving and all of the strife, and that's on both sides -- you leave it the way it is.
"There have been very few complaints the way it is. People go, they use the bathroom that they feel is appropriate. There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife, and the -- the economic punishment that they're taking."

Trump said he doesn't know if he has any transgender people working for him. "I probably do, I really don't know."
Trump noted that there's a "big move to create new bathrooms" for transgenders.
"First of all, I think that would be discriminatory in a certain way. It would be unbelievably expensive for businesses and for the country. Leave it the way it is."

kid I’m no slacker when it comes to brains and education but I don’t spent my time miring in the muck of current sexual deviancy...
and I didn’t know exactly what was going on...
for instance is a “her/she” a him at birth or a her that wants to be called a him ???
and why on Earth would a person object to just using the bathroom their physical gender dictates them to ???
but then I’m not busy 24/7 running for the highest office in the country...
if I truly wanted to think long and hard on this I could have easily found the time...

I think it's because the hatred for the establishment and PC culture runs so deep. Trump's supporters don't see the disaster he will be as the nominee. He has no respect for people of faith, or for people who place a high value on the importance of social issues. As a result the turnout from this part of the electorate will be down, probably more so than it was for Romney.
My point remains. He has what he wants, can’t lose it, so doesn’t care what you think of him.
Fine, from a business perspective and as a man, why would you let a man who is attracted to women use the woman’s bathroom in your business? My God, it isn’t that hard to see the problem here.
And the dems that I talked about who were horrified about this were from New Jersey. If he can say a reasonable thing about Islamic immigrants, I don’t see how this is different.

Western societies are collapsing because they have abandoned the teaching authority of the one holy catholic apostolic church. It began in earnest with contraception and accelerated with abortion.
Passing more laws will not cure the disease. As is the case with the aftermath of air travel after 9/11, we will lose more freedom as bathroom TSA agents inspect genitalia to see if one can enter. It will cost billions of dollars to enforce and humiliate those of us who are innocent of the depravity.
It took a while, but Trump finally self destructed.
