Video description: Being completely ignorant of history, the left has put a gun-totting, democrat-shooting, Republican on the $20 bill. By all measures and means, today most leftists would HATE Harriet Tubman...and she'd likely shoot them too!

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t admire Harriet. A wonderful, brave lady who led the most dramatic life outside of my idol, Joan of Arc. BUT, she’s a minor figure in history while Jackson and our founding fathers are not. If we can kick Jackson off, who is to say we can’t kick Washington off next? That nasty war-mongering slave holder!

This sentimentality about Indians has got to stop. They were violent, warlike, backwards and uninventive outside of figuring how to cook corn. The east, Midwest and west are rife with burial grounds of good people who tried to build America and were slaughtered in horrendous fashion by these beasts.

Wake up, America!

Harriet Tubman was a hero and justly merits our admiration and respect. As a child born in slavery, she was cruelly treated and experienced a traumatic head wound, thereafter suffering from frequent dizziness, pain, and bouts of sleepiness. Despite such a disability, in her late 20’s, Tubman escaped to freedom in Philadelphia. Then, repeatedly risking her life, Tubman returned again and again to lead her relatives from slavery. During the Civil War, Tubman served the Union Army, first as a cook and nurse, then as a scout and spy operating behind Confederate lines.

So go sit on it and spin pal.

You have nothing on her - just fantasy associations. Also, just exactly who was she supposed to work with BUT the North, to help get the slaves out?

Sit and spin yourself.

The next Republican POTUS should quietly replace the Tubman $20 bill with the Reagan $20 bill.

Sometimes I just think I am living in a fantasy land. This whole ordeal was nothing more than another way of the “powers that be” sticking a knife and destroying vestiges of European and Christian history and achievements in favor of political correctness.

For so-called conservatives to not recognize this and in delusion think that it is an endorsement of second amendment rights is pathetic.

Democrat party - the party of slavery, KKK, segregation, etc. It is surprising that an 0bama offciate would choose her rather than say Sheets Byrd?

Hey we need to get this out there.

No. Keep it quiet until she's on the bill. Otherwise, they'll put Hellary on it.

Yep, she was totally given those armed incursion missions she led in the Civil War to meet the quotas imposed by the Warren Court on the Union Army.

The only thing more hilarious than your ignorance of history is the fact she would be able to kick your sorry ass in hand to hand combat without breaking a sweat.

I was told not to worry about it as if I thought it would destroy America. It’s just part of the larger picture you painted.

It’s just another politically-motivated Obama administration event, I say. The frog is pretty much boiled at this point.

And he’s still got over 9 months to go.

Suddenly I feel better about this

Why? Because of party labels? Only the historically ignorant try to retroject today's political party lines into those of the 19th century. What do Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's policies have in common with Grover Cleveland or Andrew Jackson's? Nothing. The fact that it's the same political party is meaningless when 19th Century "Democrats" were basically the libertarians of their day.

The Left is all giddy about this because a "racist" white male is being replaced by a black female. Anyone who approves of the latest PC victory just because Jackson was a Democrat and Tubman a Republican (thinking that those labels meant in the 1860's what they mean today) is an even bigger fool than the left wing agitators who pushed this crap to begin with.

I don’t suppose you’re old enough to remember the fine tv series of the 60s called ‘Profiles in Courage’ based, I guess, on Kennedy’s book. The episode about Harriet enthralled me as a child! And just when the most climatic moment occurred, she fainted due to the head wound!

I still don’t agree with taking Jackson off but she was a hell of a broad.

Thank you.

It is nothing more that PC garbage.

Lincoln stays because he is a saint for PC. Because he “saved” blacks. Notice Dems unanimously hail Lincoln. He will never, ever be removed.

The other white guys are fair game. They are ready to be kicked off/sidelined because they owned slaves or otherwise just were part of “the Man’s” world which is ipso facto, evil.

This is less about promoting black historical figures and more about slapping the important white ones in the face.

I chafe at this because Tubman wasn’t even truly important to the country. Fred Douglass or Booker T. are moreso. Not that I think they are quite the status of Jackson, but closer.

Nothing more than “stick it to ‘The Man’” retribution than anything else.

Maybe not, but it sort of misses the whole point of the thing. It’s really not about what you would prefer to look at.
