Um, yeah, good luck with that.
According to the latest Reuters Polling snapshot Senator Cruz has dropped another 5 points this week LINK . This comes on the heels of several weeks of polling data outlining how Ted Cruz has a significant problem with authenticity.
Readers will note we have discussed this several times. The more the general electorate get to see and know Ted Cruz, the more his support drops. There is a direct correlation.

The Associated Press now reports the Cruz Camp is making an effort to train Senator Cruz to become more likable:
[ ] The lengths Cruz has to go in boosting his standing with voters were starkly evident in a focus group of Republican women this week in Pittsburgh. When the women were asked what they knew about Cruz, several described him as untrustworthy or a liar. GOP front-runner Donald Trump has spent weeks assailing Cruz as Lyin Ted.
And when focus group participants were asked what animal best described Cruz, some said a mosquito or a hornet.
You just want to bat it away, one woman said. The session was organized by Public Opinion Strategies and Purple Strategies as part of the Walmart Moms series that focuses on female voters. (read more)

What is a Vogel and glitch?
I heard Hannity and Cruz, in part, myself. Not answering questions directly has become a national trait. Such behavior even raises its ugly head on this forum. One especially sees it among Libertarians and “open carry” nuts.
I was an admirer of Ted Cruz. I won't say I "liked" him. But I admired and respected him.
But, the more I see, the less I like.
And to be perfectly honest, it's not his positions. It's him personally.
Something just doesn't sit right. Just too much fakery. I think my turn started when I saw that campaign commercial of him practicing praying with his kids at the table and re-doing segments of his mom saying she loved him. Stuff like that. It's just so phoney.
Like him or hate him, at least with Trump you have some sort of connection. He's authentic.
I have no idea where that graphic originated, another FReeper who I cannot recall right now first posted it in the latter part of February, and it took off from there.
I see that graphic and can’t help but laugh ...
Following the ‘original intent’ of the Constitution would make Cruz more likable... But Teddy knows that under ‘original intent’ he is NOT eligible to hold the office of president... IN spite of what the crooked legal profession claims. Remember this is the same profession that divined a right to kill the unborn, and call same sex hook ups a marriage.
Too late Ted, you are what you are (and it ain’t pretty).
What Savage reportedly said comes closest to my attitude towards Cruz.
“Ive seen that thing a million times. Where in Gods name did that come from, or when he did it?”

I dunno, but the idea comes from this -

He wants to be one of the powers that bee.
I think he was mixing up America with Amanda Carpenter?
A bird with a defect.
(In German anyway.)

I like Cruz but, he is running for the office of “Stop Trump” now.
He should have run for president instead.
Trump comes across warmer, Cruz colder. Neither one is perfect and both have claimed things too good to be true.
Still, I hope if elected Trump at least tries to keep that MAGA theme going. It would be such a difference from Obama’s studied indifference if not condemnation.
We have a fully operational ground game and the volunteers to do it in all 50 states.
Don't let the RNC just come in and take over those operations for their own ruling class oligarchy.
Unite and fight.
The chaos it would cause will be well worth the price.
What say you?
Jedi.
He’s a lying scheming effing Harvard (better than us - just ask him) lawyer. And this jerk with no real world experience - other than making his collegues hate him - is supposed to be the leader of the free world????
I can’t believe he got this far...but Obama did so I suppose that was his template.
For some reason the song “Missionary Man” by The Eurythmics comes to mind.
That article is worthy of it’s own thread.
I think it is very telling that not a single individual from his childhood, high school or college as come forward to say, "Ted Cruz was my friend." Also telling, only 2 Senators have endorsed him, one being Lindsay Graham's "endorsement" if you can call it that.
That does make sense. He’s hoping at this point to be “the one less bad than Trump.”
Wanting to go back to old fashioned views of the Constitution, when his birth circumstances would have eliminated him from consideration at the time the Constitution was written, is an oxymoron. Trump has more room to do that, even in the guise of populism, if for example he is sincere in saying he would want more Thomases on the USSC. And a stable court that is not minded to try to upset applecarts for their own sake, is one that businesses like as well. Because businesses need to plan. In our modern climate of Calvinball, they can scarcely plan to the next quarter.
