Ah, Corry’s Snail & Slug Bait, used it often and it works great. Not so great for the snails though. ;)

As the Trump train continues to gain momentum these reprobates will see their ratings tumble as most folks experience “the awakening.”

No one likes her in Silicon Valley. She is even disliked by CEOs of Silicon Valley. Not seen her in any Tech talk for last 6-7 yrs.

I agree. I know that Greta does work with Franklin Graham’s org, Samaritan’s Purse, and they do a lot of great work. Respect them both for that.

When she asked that question and mentioned Haiti as one of the countries, the thing that came to mind for me was the Bush-Clinton venture down there and all the funds that were collected. Funds were also collected by other agencies. I was reading or seeing something in the last year or so that after all this time and all the money collected and supposedly distributed, it was still a mess down there. It was very disheartening. The money is either going to the despots in the country that keep it for themselves and/or administrators of the program, and/or those that are supposed to be providing various work and services, and very little gets to the needs of the people.

Haiti isn’t the only place this has happened. Haiti is especially on my mind because my BIL’s young, beautiful cousin was down there working in an orphanage helping Haiti children and was killed during the earthquake. Her uncle and brother are both priests and I think they may have even had a hard time dealing with it, though were extremely supportive to the family members.

I think the American Red Cross does a lot of great work around the world. I haven’t looked at it in a long time, but I remember looking at it some years ago and a huge percentage of the dollars on hand were going for administrative costs.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that we are all generous people, but we need to investigate some of these agencies before contributing to them and where and how the funds are spent. I would like most of the money to go to the people it’s meant for and better oversight and dispersal of the funds, especially like for Haiti.

I agree - we are a debtor nation and need to keep America First. There can be special public fund raisers, concerts, etc. to help others around the world; and, the US shouldn’t always be the main country contributing funds.

I hope I don’t sound heartless, because I’m not.

Hi Nikk!

Just a juicy tidbit passed along by a political gossip-monger I follow.

Apparently Phil Robinson, the Duck Dynasty guy, has had some sort of dustup with Cruz. "Sources" say Phil thinks Cruz lied to him on something, not political, and it has pissed the old man off.

It will be interesting to see if he stumps for Cruz in Southern Indiana, where I would think he is quite popular.

More breaking news:

Congressman Jeff Miller, Florida 01, endorses Donald Trump this morning.

So, that's two already today. I think the "Party" is consolidating around our man.

Donald Trump could amass most primary votes in GOP history

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3425465/posts

Donald Trump will likely wind up winning the most primary votes of any GOP presidential candidate in modern history, the author of the influential Smart Politics blog told The Post on Wednesday.

After convincing victories in Tuesday’s primaries in five East Coast states, Trump has roughly 10.1 million votes, about 200,000 more than Mitt Romney got during the entire 2012 primary campaign.

And with the primaries ahead — including in populous states such as California, New Jersey and Indiana — the former “Apprentice” reality TV star should easily break the modern record of 10.8 million held by George W. Bush in 2000, according to blogger Eric Ostermeier, a political science professor at the University of Minnesota.

Hi Dear Onyx,

Scott Rasmussen was on FNC yesterday and was talking about the uncommitted delegates. I think he was rather conservative in calculating them for each state. He came up with 50 total. So, he thinks rather than 1237, he could get to 1187 and win on the first vote.

While that was somewhat encouraging, I’d rather Trump get more than 1237 committed delegates and then get push over the top big time with the uncommitted that vote for him on the 1st vote at the convention - I like to play it safe :-)

Remember Jan. 20, 1981?

The split TV screen with Reagan taking the oath of office and the plane taking off from Teheran with our hostages.

Made the pain and humiliation of the previous 444 days to that worthwhile.

And in my book, Iran has never paid the price for that.

You sound the opposite of heartless.
Americans are generous people.
The gov’t could encourage us to give. We definitely need to do our homework when donating. So much corruption out there.

Sorry about your BIL’s cousin. I admire people willing to get in the trenches to help those less fortunate. Greta and husband and Graham are all to be commended.

Right on!!!

- George Washington - The Revolutionary War & Forming the USA.

- Abraham Lincoln - Saving the Union, Freeing the Slaves, developing the nation into the industrial age by building national railroads throughout the nation

- Franklin Delano Roosevelt - Forget the depression, FDR failed miserably...but...his greatness is his correct assessment about the rising danger from Germany, Japan and its allies was right on target. Plus, he awoke a nation asleep at the wheel, just in time. His relationship with Winston Churchill & his brillant choice of masterful, capable, Generals & Admirals, is still unequalled to this day. He won WWI for the USA and, when the war ended the USA was the most powerful nation is the world.

- Ronald Reagan, he saved the USA economy and defeated the Soviet Union in the cold war by building up the USA miltary to its most powerfull status, ever!!! Reagan, truly made America great again!!!

Dick - that is an interesting tidbit. Wouldn’t surprise me as Lyin’ Ted seems to lie about a lot of things. I think if you lie to Phil and tick him off, he’ll say bye bye.

Phil’s son, a Trump supporter, was at Trump’s event in NY the other night and on F&F yesterday a.m. talking about it. He said he called his dad to discuss and his mom answered the phone and said his dad was already in bed.

Great news. Trump says he’s getting many many calls from people wanting to endorse.

The Trump Train needs to pick up some more cars!

Nice photos but the harbor is part of Newport Beach, the next city. Should have shown a photo of the city’s “trademark”, the South Coast Plaza.

The fairgrounds’ amphitheater is nice but wished they picked the larger Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, about 8 miles away. Both have easy access from John Wayne Airport.

110% correct. It was as much of a message to the world as it was to US.
VERY PRESIDENTIAL!

I thought the line about the “false song of globalism” would get picked up a lot more than it did. Great line and nails the problem.

It’s been a few years, but I’ve shopped the South Coast Plaza shopping center - lovely center last time I was there.

In looking at the picture of the amphitheater, it doesn’t look very secure and I’m a little concerned about that.
