He chewed every word. I could hear a little congestion in his voice, maybe a little sinus or cold. I couldn't believe me ears.
I pulled over to listen to it, it was that moving. I turned to see if Rush was carrying it, and he wasn’t, and in fact someone posted here that Rush actually was critical of Trump for speaking during his showtime. (Think about that Folks.)
I am telling you, I’ve never heard a leader speak like this. I recall Reagan doing it, when he told Iran’s leaders to release the hostages, but these are bad times, and it was a speech from someone, with the wisdom of the ages, who was telling us, "This is it. We turn this ship around or we sink, all of together."
This was the speech a leader gives after a Pearl Harbor. This is the speech Leonides gave to the 300 Spartans.
Trump’s speech was cold water in the face for the George Will’s out there. Anyone listening will have to say this man is no buffoon. This man is very very smart, and knows exactly what this country needs.
That's leadership. And, Donald Trump, is an exceptional leader who succeeded in an exceptional country.
Did Cruz hear it? Kasich? If they did, I'd have to ask why? Why are you staying in? If it is to keep this man OUT, then I will say to you, it ain't going to happen.
They sit, and criticize Trump, but this man transcends party lines. He talks to every man woman and child out there. WOW!!!! What a speech.

On Kasich:
Voters quickly moved on from Cruz and tried Kasich. But he turned out to be the spitting image of a homeless man. He's got the slouch, the facial tics, and a strange way of bouncing his head and looking around that makes you want to cross the street to avoid him. It looks like he cuts his own hair, and his suits are Ralph Nader cast-offs. He wolfs down food like a street person, has a hair-trigger temper, and rants about religion in a way that only he can understand.
Trump has the caliber to deliver.

Trump might be wearing you out, nikos, but you’re wearing me out with these threads. So many posts, I can’t keep up; I fall asleep reading the day’s thread. But the next day I have to try to keep up with the new one! LOL
Yeah, I know that I'm such an extreme Trump fan that it's hard to imagine me as objective. But this is no exaggeration: when one listens to that speech, it transcends the speaker. I heard the inspirational words, and at times was past thinking about who was speaking them.

What a week it’s been! Glad to see Trump out in CA already. Very important state this year and it could be the clincher for 1237 delegates. I’m guessing the Carly announcement by Cruz was calculated to peel delegates away from Trump there. Not going to work!
I saw his speech, I agree, magnificent. I do believe the audience was stunned, judging by the, at times, weak response (clapping). Not trying to be critical, but I don’t think he’s comfortable with a teleprompter.
It was a moving and awesome speech.....FROM HIS HEART!
At first I didn’t think he felt comfortable with the teleprompter, but as he started ‘owning’ the speech the passion took over from within him, and I was ready to stand and sing God Bless America!!!!!!
This is the speech you give to you team. This is the speech a president gives in some form. Obama could never give a speech like this in a million years, cause he’s never heard a speech like this.
In twenty minutes Trump in essence told the dummy how to be a leader. Bowing to other leaders, begging in person to be in the Olympics, putting global... yes global warming ahead of our country at the expense of our industries is the doings of a rank amateur.

Trump knows he’s going to be president. He knows that he has to convince every single person in this country. In his speech he said everyone...Listen to this:
Guess what? I went back to find the passage and it’s not there. This means he ad libed it while giving the written prepared speech.
He said something to the effect of bringing all Americans together, dems, rep, indy etc etc.
It wasn’t a speech given for applause. The applause came later. He didn’t read then stop. People interrupted him.
It a few minutes he gave our leaders tips on how to be a leader. And they doubt this man. They criticize him.
I fully expect a lot of endorsements before Tuesday. Really don’t understand why the GOPe doesn’t come out and say enough is enough.
Morning sir.. thank you once again for a great intro to our day with our guy. May God’s strength and protection be with him and his family in a mighty way.
One thing I wish he would do. Get a list of all the admirals/generals Colonels/Captains from various branches of the service that O has tossed and that resigned. Fly them all down to his Fla home. have them for a few days to enjoy the area/facility and meet with them for several hours. Pick their brains. Hear their stories. Learn what they think is important now and how they see it might be accomplished.
Get the scoop. Share his vision. Ask how he can help them. NOT necessarily ask for their endorsements (bet most already either publicly or privately do support him).
Maybe this would be viewed as a attempt to buy endorsements/votes but I think overall it would be good for our country, his campaign and perhaps if any are willing, these fine men (and probably some females along the way) could be part of the clean up crew after his Inauguration.
This may have already been done. I am sending this to his campaign.
Hopefully I will be with you for both events today. I have a teleconference with work today and hope to see a movie and buy 20 bags of mulch today.. mundane among the fun.

He adds to it, diverges and comes back. Folks, this is a man who knows what we want, and knows how to get it.
The reports I read was that a speechwriter was utilized but he was not happy with result and reworked it in a big way. All of it is basically things we have heard at rallies.. just presented in a more lecture type setting rather than pep rally format (which most of us love)

I think that’s a great idea, Dolly. I was thinking about something like this a while back, but not on such a large scale as you did (more in 1:1, 3:1 way).
I remember reading about so many higher ups in the various branches being moved (forced) out or resigning under Obama. What a loss of military experience and brain power for our country.
I seem to recall Trump saying a long time ago that he would consider bringing back some of the generals, etc. that were no longer in the military. I don’t know if they can be reinstated in the military or not - if not, they could be civilian advisers.
Trump seems to have a lot of respect for Petraeus - since he lives in FL, wonder if he’s had meetings or phone calls with him. Hope he is also speaking with Allen West (I’d like to see him in the Trump admin).
Another one that knows a lot about the ME because he’s made so many trips there and was with the soldiers and Marines is Ollie North. He would be a good person to visit with as well.
