Trump Thumps the Ruling Class
spectator.org ^ | 4/27/16 | George Neumayr

"What have you been smoking?” said a partner in a New York law firm to me in early January after I asserted in front of a room full of Upper East Side liberals that “Trump would win the nomination.” Others hooted me for holding that “closeted Trump supporters” exist in the disaffected corners of American life and that Trump would enjoy a reverse Bradley effect.

Last Christmas I ran into Newt Gingrich after Mass in Washington, D.C., and for the heck of it said to him, “So what job do you want in the Trump administration?” He looked at me with utter disbelief. Now I see him on TV bemoaning the slowness with which pundits grasped the Trump phenomenon. He was one of them.

Up in New York City I noticed that none of the anti-Trump outrage of the ruling class had trickled down to the peasants. They either didn’t care about Trump’s politically incorrect brashness or kind of liked it. While lavishly paid, “brilliantly perceptive” reporters and editors like David Remnick and James Fallows were saying that Trump had “zero chance” of winning the nomination, anybody who bothered to speak to ordinary folks walking the streets below the suites of The New Yorker could see that Trump had a huge opening. The George Wills, who spend more time tinkering with their cuff links than talking to people, also pronounced Trump an unelectable clown who would soon disappear back into the buffoonery from which he came.

Such inept punditry and incompetent reporting is the journalistic equivalent of a surgeon killing a patient on the operating table. Yet all these reporters and pundits keep working, often failing upwards to six-figure jobs, provided that they attend all the right parties and know all the right people.

Beautifully put!

The United States and the world are trending more violent, less free and less prosperous. These are obvious trend lines that any casual observer can see.

Yet the elites tell us to keep an eye on the weather. Nonsense has replaced common sense.

A bold unapologetic old fashioned American alpha male is speaking in unvarnished unambiguous language that many recognize as the truth.

George Will spends NO time talking to the People. A lot of sound conservatives - real people who actually work doing stuff not the chattering and pandering class - support Trump and could point out the error of his thinking (tear him a new one) if he would condescend to consult with a few. I doubt George knows anyone who has a real job.

True, he is Alpha, and many of us were raised by Alpha dads and he is best suited to lead this nation in these troubled times.

Obama is not sure of his sex and Hillary is unsure as well.

The age of freaks is quickly closing off. Target now wears a target for its bathroom nonsense.

Trump for a better America!

Yes, the country needs an unapologetic Alpha male as President. Our current metrosexual interloper has almost destroyed our beautiful country.

Glad to see the Spectator finally figured it out—they are the brighter students in the class that had to repeat politics for dummies.

......Trump isn’t just the most important New York political figure in nearly a hundred years, he’s also the only figure who can put the Empire State on the map for Republicans. As the first overtly nationalist major-party candidate since Ronald Reagan, Trump has brought about a major realignment in American politics that will persist even if he himself fails to secure the White House.....(which he won't)....... (hat tip/Forney/RIGHTON)

Most of the pundits are paid stooges of The Cheap Labor Express trying to convince us to give up our country without a fight.

Guess the citizens have other ideas......

Off topic but if any Freepers could photoshop a little girl’s face in the bullseye of the Target logo, that should be their new corporate logo.

The ambivalence toward Hillary among Democrats is uncanny. Even in New York, where we’re told “educated women” will thrill to her, it is hard to find any. Most of them I’ve met see Hillary as an over-the-hill feminist hag and resent her presumption.

Nice piece George Neumayr ... you've got Hillary's number.

Hardly, Trump IS the ruling class. He dines with the Clintons and golfs with Boehner but he does talk a good game.

He dined with Bushes, Reagan, and the alike as well. And yes he is a member of the ruling class. He’s also not an insane globalist like the majority our ruling class is. He wants American to win while the rest just want to line their pockets and imported cheap labor or outsourcing to china.

Liberals oppress/punish any speech they disagree with around globalism’s ideology and then are surprised to find that most don’t agree with them. They mistake silence with approval.
