I like the idea of Newt in there, some people say he is too old though. What a battle it would be, Newt vs. Clinton again!

I also like Scott Walker, he has done great things for the schools, though that might hurt Trump with unions.

I’ve been saying for months, Newt would be a PERFECT Chief of Staff in the Trump White House. He knows the history, the politics, the legislative mechanisms better than anyone. He knows not only where the men’s room key is, he knows where all the bodies are buried. He’s the ‘insider’ Trump is going to need when he assumes office. NO ONE could be better in that role.

Any one in the VP slot would be a light weight in comparison, but then again, he doesn't need to be a VP to be part of the Trump team.

This is true and Trump has made it clear he intends to call on the Gingrich-type of advisers to assist in the Trump Administration.

Since South Carolina voters in the Republican Presidential Primaries in 2012 and 2016 picked my preferred candidates, Gingrich and Trump, I feel okay with a Trump/Gingrich ticket but am not enthused about it. Newt carries unneeded baggage (Pelosi and Newt on a bench, etc.) and would be able to serve the Nation and Trump better in another capacity.

Gingrich is a good person to have on the team, but not as VP.

The election will be very close. The VP has to be able to deliver a battleground state or score with a complementary demographic. Gingrich does neither of those.

That also eliminates Sessions, Hunter, Cruz.

Again applying the same Litmus test to Trump would reach the same conclusion on liberal causes and support thereof. If we wanted true blue conservative with no flaws we’d have opted for a different candidate for the general but we didn’t. So now it’s time to pick someone who can speak to fiscal responsibility and conservative values succinctly

GINGRICH WOULD BE AWESOME!

He talks in common sense terms that everyone can understand but at a totally professional level

and HE BALANCED THE BUDGET

I think Walker would be a good pick.

Why is that?

Because at 73, he is not going to be able to run in four or eight years.

No one debates, or I should say articulates ideas better, whether he speaks to an audience of blacks, Hispanics, college kids etc. Newt gets it.

I loves space exploration, education that puts are best people in jobs, attracts the best minds in the world.

I am hoping for the Golden Age of Pericles with Trump in the WH.

Because we need an anthropomorphic global warming shill?
Is he bringing Nancy Pelosi with him again?

The idea is crazier than a Patsy Cline record with a scratch.

These people shake hands, go to lunch together and have their pictures taken together. It’s called being polite and that’s the way it is and has always been.

I’ll keep parroting the same thing every time any reference of Gingrich is tied to liberal causes ideas or influence. He wasn’t perfect but achieved great things for the Republican Party and conservatism. For every picture or quote you can find on Gingrich with a liberal the same could be found and espoused by our selected candidate.

We are now past this, if true conservatism were the test during these primaries Trump would not have seen the light of day. Now all of a sudden we are concerned with the conservative image?

Please

Trump needs entry to achieve his goals - Gingrich has keys to locked doors. This is a winning strategy.

Trump-Gingrich ticket’s brilliant.

I think the stats conclude that few VPs ever get to be or run for President.
