I guess it’s a sign of our age, that we remember $2 bills and nobody else does.

We thought the $2 bills were stupid at the time.

Get Sharptongue! It’s a case of paying while black!

(Actually, official stupidity and ignorance strikes people of every race, but since the vic is in this case black, why not use every available resource to make the bad guys miserable?)

It’s insane. I posted an article about another counterfeit case in this same ISD.

At the very minimum, this girl should get the same degree of apology and special treatment that Clock Boy was given.

This is the second story on counterfeiting out of this district this week. They had a couple fake bills passed in the local schools and have gone all high and right on it.

my father (born in 1923) calls them “she notes”.
I asked him why - he said they are like women - once you get one, you want to get rid of it.

Common core stupidity all the way up the line. There are people who should be fired for this level of incompetence/stupidity.

Proof that government has far too much power. That power makes it possible for incompetent idiots to destroy the lives of innocent people.
This doesn’t stop here. You have to sue their f*ck!ng a$$es off! Forget the apology. Forget resignations. This is grounds for significant damages. The school and the police need to be forced to pay a few million dollars to the girl and the girl’s family.
The worst thing in the world is a stupid fascist with power.

That is a Series 1953A United States Note, not a run-of-the-mill Federal Reserve Note.

In decent shape, they’re worth about $5, and uncirculated they are around $30.

The School owes the little girl some change...

Easy mistake. It was an older bill with Monticello on the reverse.

Newer ones(twos?) have a portrait of the signing of the Declaration of Independence would have been easily recognized.

This is like the clock/bomb boy

This is definitely a publicity stunt.

That particular style of 2 dollar bill has not been printed since the mid 1960s. The new ones look very different.

The school didn’t think to look at the Treasury Dept website to confirm that $2 bills exist? For years, my MIL sent $2 bills to my kids in cards for birthdays and holidays for fun.

Years ago when my daughter was getting on the bus for their “sober grad night” festivities at a large miniature golf course/arcade/water park/race track/batting cages - I slipped her a wad of $50 in two dollar bills. She said it was the hit of the evening, and ever since then she has had a fondness for $2 bills.

I’ve had one in my wallet for 40 years that my mother gave me. She said to keep it in my wallet and I’ll never be broke.
