Trump has had ‘incoming’ every day from the media and establishment since he announced in June. He even commented that he didn’t have to put up with it, except that he didn’t like the way the nation is headed and he wants to make America great again.
I agree, and that is a good question.
I would hope he did. If he didn’t, it would certainly reinforce my thoughts on him.

He’s doing some refutation of the “Zodiac Killer” epithet, and how does a committed conservative hold up under the relentless lies and innuendo? Trying to resurrect Cruz’s reputation - under the guise of mourning the loss of the destruction of another conservative messenger.
“being hated by 30% of the people hating you means you are getting somewhere.”
This philosophy can be adopted if you are not in politics, but if in politics, can’t get anywhere with that.
Along with the defeat of Cruz, there is the gleeful cry from some quarters that conservatism is dead. But so many conservatives have the view that Trump is conservatives.
Rush points out that every betrayal by the party - every TPP voted for destroys the party.
A caller a few days stated he is a conservative but is convinced that Trump will fight back.
These this guy is “one of us. He’s a conservative.”
Seems like people who don’t see the invasion are blind to to what’s going on. Conservatives don’t want the country given away. That’s the issue. Trump is the only one talking about this issue.

Yep, trying to say the name calling drove Cruz out. If that’s true, Cruz would never have stood up to the rigors of a general election and four years of being a Republican president.
Rush doesn’t realize that he’s intimating that Cruz was weak and couldn’t take the heat.
He didn’t get the First Amendment.

And in that you were mistaken. Dubya made any number of dismissive comments about conservatives but they didn’t get much attention. He let people assume that he was interested in conservative ideas but he wasn’t, his principle advisors were relabeled liberals, neoconservatives. Hell, he was barely interested in American issues, witness his adamant love for illegals and amnesty.
Cruz is now the little victim. Oh, boo-hoo. The unlovable homely child who hides a heart of gold as well as a humongous intellect. Well, except when dealing with a redneck with a sense of humor.
Who believed Cruz was the Zodiac Killer? I saw a tweet from that Milo Yiannapolis joking about it but that was all. Maybe I missed it.
