AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back - just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do - host. Get ready to what you were born to do - listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

3.Deify corporations and think they always have our best interests at heart

IMHO that is what is killing the GOP and "Conservatism" as people like Rush define it. A quarter-century of corporations ALWAYS getting what they want.

Corporate interests and the national interest often coincide. But not always.

Carly Fiorina has just set a new record for “Shortest tenure as a VP Candidate”.

The old record was set by Thomas Eagleton in 1972.

Did anyone find out if he knew Oswald of all people?

Kilmeade provided Cruz an opportunity with his canned response off fake outrage. He had it ready to go.

So, it looks like today’s program won’t focus on Trump’s massive win, but instead will focus on what happened to Cruz. WTF!

That's exactly the way I saw it. I listened for a bit, had some meetings, came out of the meetings and he was still going on about Cruz.

Then, he said "some fool" said something about Castro, Cruz,sr., Oswald and Kennedy, referring to Trump. Shut him off!

I think Rush is as insane for Cruz as is Rush’s brother.

He did say he was somber last night when Cruz bailed.

I think the "some fool" remark referred to a reporter who asked Trump about it this morning, meaning that there is no point in bringing it up anymore.

It wasn’t because he didn’t support Reagan, he was just too lazy to register to vote.

And he was angry at a friend who (appropriately) couldn’t stand listening to Cruz anymore. He equated that with hating him (Rush). Rush is an idiot.

Cruz crossed the street and initiated the exchange with this guy. Cruz started the confrontation, the guy did nothing wrong. Cruz looked, to me, like he wanted to start an argument, and it backfired.

He apparently never registered to vote until 1986 or so and his first presidential election was for Bush vs Dukakis in 1988. Better late than never. I assume he will vote Trump in November for Florida.

I listened to Glenn for about 10 minutes today, but that was all the simpering drama I could stand.

I think many of us are more willing to give him a pass on those issues because we revere him in many other areas.

Can you imagine if even little ol' Bob Dole had half an ounce of cojones and had gone after Clinton back in 96? Or better, if a conservative had been nominated? That one was ripe for the taking, as was 2012. Instead, we got stuck with people we hated for another 4 years.

That's what Hillary's FBI files were about, blackmail against the Republicans to prevent anyone crossing any lines. Republicans were allowed to discuss issues, but not talk about Bill's nose surgery.

Hillary doesn't have FBI files on Trump, probably never thought to ask for it back then. Even so, they can't blackmail him. But he can say the things that we all knew about her but that were hidden by the press and complicit Republicans back then.

““Like you I didn’t doubt Bush’s sincerity, “

And in that you were mistaken. Dubya made any number of dismissive comments about conservatives but they didn’t get much attention. He let people assume that he was interested in conservative ideas but he wasn’t, his principle advisors were relabeled liberals, neoconservatives. Hell, he was barely interested in American issues, witness his adamant love for illegals and amnesty.”

And Saudi Arabia.

He could lead or follow, but instead decided to keep standing in the way.

When RUSH first came on the air there was no FR, no instant news on your handheld smartphone, no streaming video or audio, the internet use was in it's infancy. It was like when there were only 3 TV channels - no competition for ideas. RUSH never modernized his program with the times, he's become flat and predictable. He forgot who he was and this whole infatuation with Cruz and disdain for Trump will be his jump the shark moment.

Good point. Rafael doesn’t deny Oswald, and Felito didn’t deny the mistresses.

I discovered Rush on a transistor radio while walking down a beach in St. Augustine, Florida in 1989. His show was truly revolutionary, as up to that time all you had was the mainstream print media, Big 3 networks and CNN.

His show was much funnier back then. Humorous updates, comedy skits, etc. He’d be wise to quit pontificating and go back to that.
