This is really happening, people. Either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump is going to be the next president of the United States.
Just saying it still feels strange, but then again, pretty much everything about this most shocking and chaotic of election seasons has been deeply surreal.

What will suck for Salon is that Trump will hold nothing back with Hillary. All of her failures and personality disorders will be attacked, ceaselessly .
I can imagine a Jeb Bush against Hillary. The Left would pull out the old play book. Make Jeb apologize for his everything under the sun, They would say - let’s just “debate the issues.” This election is “all about jobs.” No personality attacks or mention of character.

Democracy isn’t always please and thank you, smiles, and best friends. It is time for some real hardball politics as for too long we’ve avoided offending people, tried to get along, and got stepped on, shoved aside, and abused for our efforts. With Trump we’ve got a candidate that will not quit, hide from his shadow, or worry about hurting someone’s precious feelings.

We've had to put up with almost 30 years of the ruling class, Ivy League do-gooders telling us how to live. We've been very patient, while our institutions and society were eroded. And then, to see what they have done with our economy is criminal.
I can't say that I believe that Trump is necessarily the answer, but based on the reaction of the people that have brought us where we are today, there must be some reason they fear him. And just for once, I want to see them not get their way.
