Tow truck driver said he refused service to woman because she supports Bernie Sanders

It’s entirely plausiable that he has towed socialists before, and found out that they either didn’t have enough money to pay for the service, or were trying to defraud him in some other manner.

The article excerpt says exactly that:

I’m all for giving the Lefties more tastes of their own medicine, but being stranded and broken down really sucks, and having it get worse because of political views (even dumb ones) is not good. We need to pick our battles wisely in life, and this does more to hurt the Conservative cause than to help it. I give a thumbs-down.

That was just plain wrong.

Of course it was wrong. The woman was in distress, after a fashion. The tow truck driver had no legal responsibility here that I can see. But he had a moral responsibility. It is the decent thing - and dare I say the Christian thing - to try to help people who are in distress.

Gays who walk into a bakery are not in distress. This woman was in distress.

But there is the payment angle. The tow truck driver had a justifiable concern that he wouldn't get payed. So get the money up front, then make the tow.

Or just make the tow, and keep the car until you get payed.
