I have always voted for the Republican presidential candidate. From Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford to Ronald Reagan (twice) and George H. W. Bush (twice) and Bob Dole, from George W. Bush (twice) to John McCain and Mitt Romney—I've checked the box next to those eight names on all 11 occasions I've had the chance. About half the time, I've voted for someone else in the primary. But even in those cases I never hesitated before supporting the Republican nominee in the general election.

I read the article and suggest to Billy Kristol that he brush off his tuxedo and sit wait at his landline for the Oscar committee to call and see if he is free to be the host.

Kristol is selfish and will vote for whatever goon will protect his personal fortunes. Kristol and the pundit class are no more Americans or patriots than any average ISIS bloodluster. Kristol is simply another smiling jerkoff who propagandizes for his own benefit those policies and personalities that help himself and his fellow travelers.
Nah, he knows what he's doing. Many of us here have used the phrase "the fix is in" for years. Never was it more true than now. In their desperation to hold on to their party, they'll willingly, nay enthusiastically lose to the witch. Kristol is laughing at those of us who say he's living in a fantasy. The people living in a fantasy are those who believe the GOP is interested in anything other than hanging onto their power and the status quo.

They gleefully send them into the battlefield with irrational “rule of engagement”, not concerned in the least who lives and who dies. Donald Trump doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, has a fine family surrounding him. He's a successful businessman, which means his word is good, his checks are good, who are you to read his mind and talk about his character, Mr. Kristol? And Donald Trump would have to be on parole to even be considered to have a character deficit vis-a-vis Hillary Clinton.
If character is so important, why can't you show character and admit that what you are advocating disenfranchises millions who voted for Donald Trump. You are telling them to go jump in a lake. You lost, yet you whine. Isn't this the very definition of a lacking moral base? You are declaring your intellect to be superior to that of millions of voters. If you know something that we don't about Donald Trump why don't you just say it?
