Congressman Paul Ryan has a Republican primary challenger this year. His opponent, of course, has every right to challenge our congressman. It’s America; it’s what we do. We get to exercise our freedom to do just about anything in this nation.
The big question is: who is Paul F. Nehlen III? This is a man who claims to have been politically engaged in the area since 2008, yet no one seems to know him: from Racine to Kenosha to Walworth to Rock counties. A First District GOP Caucus is held every spring, but there has been no sign of Nehlen. We also recently learned that Nehlen voted in only 3 out of 23 Wisconsin elections since 2008.
So he is ahead of Ryan in the polls, and you admit to be uninformed.
I hate Ryan’s guts. He’s a sneaky, slimy, lying, traitorous bastard who should be arrested and put in prison (solitary) for life.
I don’t like to follow the herd - go for it if you insist. And stop with the ad hominums.
More ad hominums - so popular these days on this site and so discouraging not to mention discourteous.
Sounds like it might just be Ryan himself. Or maybe an elite like Pauline Kael who purportedly said “How could Nixon have won? Nobody I know voted for him”; referring to George McGovern’s loss to Richard Nixon in in the 1972 presidential election.

That’s exactly what everyone in Virginia was asking when Dave Brat took out Eric Cantor.
Dave Brat was a “nothing”, but he was able to defeat amnesty-loving Cantor and we are better off for it.
Ryan must be defeated to send the same kind of message to the GOPe. Ryan is a Big Government phony GOP conservative who was a supporter of the Gang of 8 bill and pushed thru the Omnibus tax bill that increased the national debt by $1 trillion. Ryan is bad on trade. He is a tool of his corporate paymasters and special interests.
BTW, I'm not making that up. Red State is defining Conservative as anyone who opposes Trump. They're working themselves around to the idea that Hillery is the true Conservative in this race.
So? This is not Virginia. This is Wisconsin. Different states different outlooks. We have a Republican gov, Virginia has a former Clinton hack for governor.

Romney, Ryan, and the Bushes crossed EVERY LINE of political decency by not embracing what Trump has accomplished with the VOTERS. Ryan even referred to the Republican Party as "inherited", for heaven's sake.
This is after decades of the voting fodder across the political spectrum being told to vote for the "lesser of two evils". It's after Romney throwing the election and the Bushbots have a plot to buy the nomination for Jeb.

Actually I vote in Oklahoma's first district, not Wisconsin's, so I only can cheer from the sideline and maybe send a little spare change to Nehlen. That said, the obviously correct answer is "Paul F. Nellen III is NOT Paul Ryan."
