Washington (CNN) - Sarah Palin says she wouldn't want to be a "burden" on the Republican ticket by becoming Donald Trump's vice presidential running mate.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee acknowledged to CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" that she's a controversial figure, nudging Trump to look elsewhere and saying that there are "so many other great people out there."
"I want to help and not hurt, and I am such a realist that I realize there are a whole lot of people out there who would say, 'Anybody but Palin.' I wouldn't want to be a burden on the ticket, and I realize in many, many eyes, I would be that burden," Palin said.

It will be a very close election. The VP choice needs to win us a key battle ground state or shore up a demographic. This point is absolutely non-negotiable.
Therefore, and without question, Trump should not choose Gingrich, Hunter, Demint, Cruz, or Sessions. Absolutely nonnegotiable.
But not for the rest of the country.

she is write and I respect her for saying that her being a VP pick would hurt Trump...if you look at the after math of the 2008 election it was the Bush camp along with McCain and Romney that trashed her rep out of fear that she would organize a movement to try for 2012 election. then in 2010 she became one of the organizing personalities with in the TEA party movement and theses same people trashed her even more.
I hope that if trump gets into office he puts her into a position where she can rehabilitate her standing with the non political public. put her on the cabinet in either
secretary of the interior or energy two positions she is more then qualified for.
I would love to see her have presidential aspirations some day but as politically wounded as she is all that nominating her for vice president would do is cost votes

She would rock the house. I still don’t really know why she didn’t run for president in 2012 or 2016. She was trashed by the liberal media over nothing, that remark about Russia which was in context and made semi-facetiously, the stupid turds presented it as some sort of flawed analysis, I never understood why she didn’t just make fun of them and point out that it was a figure of speech — and speaking of figures ... she cuts a pretty good one.
