Washington (CNN) - Sarah Palin says she wouldn't want to be a "burden" on the Republican ticket by becoming Donald Trump's vice presidential running mate.
The former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee acknowledged to CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" that she's a controversial figure, nudging Trump to look elsewhere and saying that there are "so many other great people out there."
"I want to help and not hurt, and I am such a realist that I realize there are a whole lot of people out there who would say, 'Anybody but Palin.' I wouldn't want to be a burden on the ticket, and I realize in many, many eyes, I would be that burden," Palin said.

Trump should really round the ticket with a conservative like Palin. Doesn’t have to be her and there are many others ... like Newt.

I can see a cabinet position for her. Trump mentioned her during the speech he gave when Cruz suspended his campaign. Secretary of the Interior would be a good one.

Trump said he wants to pick someone who can help him with Congress. I have no idea who that might be, but I am sure Trump has enough good people around him, who can help him pick the right person.

My open letter to Mr. Trump:
Mr Trump,
The USA is on the edge of the abyss. The socialists , globalists and politicians have literally destroyed this once greatest civilization ever seen on Earth.
But now China and the illegals have US on the verge of falling into the abyss of socialist 3rd world hell.
The great sacrifice that you Mr. Trump are doing solely for us Americans for America is greatly appreciated. You didn't have to do this as you were already happy and sucessuful more so than anyone really.
If you do manage to win and Become president , I know you will build the wall to keep out socialist hordes of illegals and bring back factories stolen by China who stole our wealth and production ability(factories). and that alone will make America great again.
You risked your fortune for America by taking on the establishment that has us down, and I will be forever thankful as should all Americans because you will truly save our jobs, our country and our freedom! The vp pick must be someone the gop hates more than Trump. Otherwise, they will try to impeach him or worse. I would love to see Palin, and DJT could explain the reason for this Palin pick. It would greatly give back some of the reputation the gop stole from her.
