They get sick from the polluted Brazilian water? Who knew Olympic athletes were so racist? They need to check their privilege.

As long as right palms were greased at the IAC.

Wait, this country has been a socialist utopia under the current President. How could all these problems be??? NY Times, are you telling us the system doesn’t work?
To: Berlin_Freeper
Sounds like good advice to me.
However, if I was coaching an Olympic level swimmer, there is no way I’d bring him to the dark, gooey waters of Brazil and risk his health. Oh, and then there’s that pesky Zika thing.

Something the Olympic committee should have considered before choosing a city where they discharge raw sewage into the ocean.

And according to Obama, the ones who do win and are “successful” are just lucky. Lucky, I guess not to die of some horrible waterborne disease.

Which ocean was polluted by Hitlerberry?
They could have had the meet in china at the three Gorges Dam. Running shoes are the norm for swimmers there as you can walk on the polluted waters it’s so thick.

...sick with diarrhea, vomiting and flulike symptoms after training and competing around Rio, and they experience only incidental contact with the water. Marathon swimmers and triathletes will ingest this water and the consequences could be deadly. Sounds just like the tap water in that part of the world. Besides, a brisk case of the trots should help those marathon swimmers squirt through the bay like torpedoes!
