Donald Trump says Puerto Rico has "far far too much debt," and the U.S. government shouldn't bail out the island.......
Puerto Rico is in crisis mode. It has run up $70 billion in debt, a staggering amount for an island of under 3.5 million people.....
"You have to cut the debt way down and get back to business," he said.

And he is correct again. Bailing out Puerto Rico would set a precedent to bailout states and other local municipalities.
Pouring money into that sinkhole is a waste. It is a net drain. Cut it off and give it away.
The Donald is a businessman. He knows a bad investment.
Trade it to Mexico for Baja California.

Couldn’t he at least offer Something? That is, perhaps a road map to start getting out of debt and not let it happen again. Offer some cash for the particulars to get the ball rolling. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. It would go a long way...
