And whether or not they knew it, the (Democrat) Senate was playing for Al Qaeda as well. They stalled on every confirmation. It was April before G.W. Bush had a functioning cabinet. That did wonders for our national security, not.
I'm sure the Dems were glad in retrospect. After all, the Moslems are the enemy of their enemy (God).
While I think that is coincidence not causation, it surely created a distraction from real issues.

It's the newly redefined history of our nation now. Bush caused 9/11. it was his fault, and he lied about everything. Everyone who ever did anything ever is an incompetent, bought-and-paid-for-loser.
