Right now Trump is listed as having 1080 delegates.
This is on CNN's page, which I have found, despite CNN's other difficulties, to have about the most accurate election documentation.
http://edition.cnn.com/election/primaries/candidates/donald-trump
1014 bound and 66 unbound delegates who have definitely announced for him.
That means:
Donlad Trump has 157 delegates to go to get to the 1,237 as of May 9, 2016.
Let's use this thread to keep trakc of Donald Trump's attaining the 1,237 now that he is the only candidayte left in the running and already the presumptive nominee.
My prediction was a few weeks ago:
Trump -1330
Cruz - 666
took some flak
Trump for President.
NB and MT would have gone Cruz but they will now go Trump.
His delegate count will be even higher when the credentials of CO’s delegation is thrown out and they have to rerun the election.
State delegates then will go to Trump.
I’m confused.
What happens to Ted’s delegates?
Thanks for posting this!
On the 1st ballot...they will vote for Ted.
despite that...Trump is now going to accumulate far more than enough to win. Cruz recognized the futility of continuing to fight that after Indiana...which was why he suspended his campaign.
But on the 1st (and now only) ballot, the pledged delegates will vote for whom they are pledged to.
Thank you!

LOL! Now STOP IT! :-)
how’s it feel to be a pessimist ;-)
These are numbers of votes the eventual GOP nominee received during the primaries.
GWB has the highest number, at 12million, but Trump still has several states remaining and is on track to pass GWBs high-water mark.
Trump: 10,713,112 (to date, there are still more primaries)
Romney: 10,031, 336 (2012 after ALL primaries)
McCain: 9,902,797 (2008)
GW Bush: 7,853,863 (2004)
GW Bush: 12,034,676 (2000)
Dole: 9,024,742 (1996)
GHW Bush: 9,199,463 (1992)
GHW Bush: 8,253,512 (1988)
Reagan: 6,484,987 (1984)
Reagan: 7,709,793 (1980)
Ha...many a slip between cup and lip
I just received in the mail today a Cruz begging letter for emergency funds....
Check for a matching $50 is dated April 22nd. This is a "now or never" moment for the presidential camapign
Our whole team is under extreme pressure. We all understand the importance of the next few weeks, which will determine whether Donald Trump or I will win the Republican nomination.
And I expect the Trump campaign to have more dirty tricks and mudslinging on tap.....so Lord only knows what repulsive attack they will launch next
Our stunning victory in Wisconsin promises to be a turning point in this campaign.
....
I pray it is not too late....
And I prey you will RUSH your matching gift....
Spokeshave in California
LOL!
I got one of those Cruz begging letters a few days ago, except my matching check was for $25.00. You must be one of those big shot donors.
I could understand Alberta going for native son Rafael Cruz, but New Brunswick?
New Brunswick is definitely Bernie territory.

Trump will get between overall 1,450 to 1,500 delegates when it is all said and done.
Good for retiring his campaign debt.
Of course, that’s why a campaign never officially ends.
Money still has to be raised.
