Ryan was put in the leadership position by the Romney facet of party. He’s their favored boy. He apparently does what he’s instructed to do or they wouldn’t have chosen him to be VP for Romney and then speaker with so small a resume followed because of being pointed out as prom king !
There is a reason a person with so little accomplishment is elevated. He owes someone and will pay them back somehow.

His remarks about today's meeting carry some weight too, he talks about the relationship between himself and his father, and they are close. He has a good handle on Donald's position, on the election contest, and where Trump's power comes from - the votes of the people.
Wish Trump had ignored her. Her behavior would just have gotten worse and worse until she imploded Have worked with mentally disturbed youth who exhibit the same “pay attention to me” behavior. When ignored they become psychotic !
He's not the big dog, he takes his direction from those above him. He's susceptible to the same threat that those "in the club" are so fond of using. Either you adhere to the line, or we will kick you out of the club.
Well, the insiders aren't the only ones who have power. The voters have power too. I hope the people in his district reject him.

Last night's dishes are done and put away, Doggie dog and I enjoyed our walk, him especially because I carried some leftover steak on the trip and gave him praise with treats. I hope to get a pile of paying work done this day - clearing the deck for travel next week.

Newt is quite the historian and a close friend to Trump. Because of his age and friendship I don’t believe he will become more than a confident to President Trump. A best friend who values friendship and doesn’t want to endanger that relationship. With that in mind he should be in the position currently held by Val Jar Whatever that’s called
He might be poking her a little more than he needs to, but I think poking her works in his favor. It sets her off more than if he ignored her, and she started this back and forth too. Trump has said that he treats women the same way he treats men, so the "war on women" card isn't going to fly. His attacks on her yesterday were that she is a do-nothing senator, that she lies (about Trump's position on federal minimum wage), and that she is clueless about how to generate jobs.
