Ted Cruz supporters are no doubt waiting for Ted to signal his absolute and unconditional support for our presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

After last night (West Virginia & Nebraska), the writing on the wall should be obvious.

Heck, if I can pull the lever for McRomney, I can pull the lever for Trump.

(But I still doubt we make it to the November elections in one piece).

Trump and Cruz are very different in style. In substance, I am 99% confident that Cruz is sincere, but far less sure he could have won in November. I am far less confident that Trump is sincere, but far more confident that he can win in November. Still, they mostly agree on Obamacare, the Second Amendment, Immigration, and many other key issues.

Ronald Reagan had it right on why Cruz fans should support Trump. See my tagline.

Most former Cruzers, at different times, saw that "something" in Cruz and stopped supporting him. The shellacking Cruz took in Nebraska indicates that. The Delusional One threatened to renew his campaign if he won.

The ones who still support him are so invested. They've gone down that slippery slope and defended a lot of indefensible maneuvers, attitudes, and political connections that left most of us uneasy.

What's my point? The supporters Cruz has are in denial. They'll either come around or they won't; it's both emotional and intellectual. My inclination is to let them be unless they start making negative comments about Trump or talk about not voting (thus helping hillary) as preferable to Trump.

Excerpt from Laura Ingraham: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3429400/posts

For all those who care about the future of America — Hillary Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee for president. If she is elected, she will continue the same disastrous policies that have already done so much harm to the U.S. economy.

She will appoint radical leftists to the Supreme Court who will cripple the Bill of Rights, take away the powers of state governments, and strip Congress of even more power.

She will continue the pay-for-play system, whereby the U.S. government is more responsive to heavy campaign donors than it is to the people.

She will ram through trade deals that will give away U.S. sovereignty and jobs, and get nothing of value in return.

She will fight against the very idea that being an American citizen has some sort of legal significance, or that American citizens should be given privileges that aren’t shared with every other person on earth.

She will use the government to threaten her opponents, intimidate the press, and tilt future elections in her favor.

She will cower before our enemies abroad — and thus, she will encourage them to continue to treat America with utter disdain and disregard.

She will worsen the crisis of confidence and credibility plaguing our entire system.

It should be glaringly apparent to any conservative or independent with common sense and minimal intelligence that Clinton will be an absolute disaster for this country, and must be stopped.

Unfortunately, many so-called “conservatives” have decided that they will not join this effort. Instead, these “NeverTrumpers” will help Hillary get into the White House by spending all of their time and energy attacking Donald Trump, a man who dominated the GOP primaries and who will be the Republican nominee for president in 2016.

This Cruz supporter needs only one reason: Hildebeast.

I voted for Cruz in the primary. I’ll gladly vote for Trump in the general.

Trump's views on illegal immigration and free trade are two big reasons for me. That, and the alternatives.

I voted for Cruz in the primaries, but I'll vote for Trump in November.

Looks like Paul Ryan and Rush Limbaugh got together on holding off support for Trump.

In an election in which a Ted Cruz supporter is compelled to choose among a Marxist, a felon, and charlatan, this conservative will abide by his commitment and support Donald Trump not as an affirmative vote for Trump but as a vote against the Marxist and the felon and for the reasons articulated by the author.

I suspect that this commitment will not get easier to keep but more difficult. So far we have had to ignore support for increasing subsidies for biofuels, support for increasing the minimum wage, confused position on taxes, and confused position on the debt. We have had to soldier on in support of this candidate with precious few specifics about how he will actually "make America great again." And we are now confronted with hires reflecting the very worst of the Washington Insiders and the Goldman Sachs crony capitalism axis the oppositon to which had been a cornerstone of the candidacy.

5 is a migic number. I’ll vote for The Donald if he publicly names 5 women whom Cruz slept with outside of his marriage.

I ran across a semi-conversation a few hours ago in Twitter where a wash post reporter and a Politico were speculating on different ways Cruz/GOPe could steal the nomination from Trump at the convention. It mainly involved disqualifying delegates and changing the rules on the fly.

“Ted Cruz supporters, and I am one” I really don’t find any evidence that he was ever much of a Cruz supporter, he seemed to be more anti-establishment and was for any outsider.

SYNOPSIS:

1) You had me at “Hillary.”

2) If Trump wins, the Establishment loses.

3) A Trump Presidency would be the Best Antidote for Political Correctness.

4) Trump takes the border and the Jihadi threat seriously.

5) Trump gives us at least a chance of preserving the Supreme Court and thereby the Constitution.

YES ON ALL FIVE.

I tried to read this, but I was deep into the article and it was still just a Cruz “love fest”.

Give it up already! You are so lucky that so many saw through “Ted the PHONY”, which obviously, you still haven’t.

TURN THE PAGE! NEXT CHAPTER!
