Sanders: Nominating Clinton would be ‘disaster’ for party, nation
WT ^ | The Washington Times - Wednesday, May 11, 2016 | Ben Wolfgang

Fresh off a big win in the West Virginia primary, Sen. Bernard Sanders’ campaign said Wednesday the Democratic Party would be courting “disaster” if it nominates Hillary Clinton as its presidential nominee.

In a fundraising email to supporters, Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver cited recent polls showing the Vermont senator performing better against Republican Donald Trump in general election match-ups. Recent surveys have shown Mrs. Clinton virtually tied with Mr. Trump in the key battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.

Citing those troubling figures, Mr. Weaver said the Democratic Party — and its superdelegates who are free to support either candidate — must reject Mrs. Clinton and embrace Mr. Sanders, or face a crushing defeat in November.

Their party has been commandeered by clowns so profound that the weirdest Republican seems boringly normal.

Yep it would be funny to see. Hillary has lived her life thinking she is destined to be president, the first woman president. I would love to see her dreams crushed.

Hillary is really a pathetic figure in some ways. She stayed in a bad marriage just so she could use political connections to achieve powerful positions. She has lived her life only to achieve power. You have to wonder how much happiness she really has in her life. What will her state of mind be if it all comes crashing down?

This is her last chance. If she doesn’t get elected pres this year there’s no way she’s a Democrat dream candidate in 2020,or beyond.

It's terrifying. Because THAT is the direction our politics are heading.

Bernie's voters have younger brothers and sisters who will be turning 18. The Mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, who is to the left of Bernie, received a QUARTER MILLION VOTES in the Democrat Senate Primary. This Socialist movement is real and it's not going away.

IIRC, even with Florida, Bush wouldn’t have won without WV. WV was on Gore like a dog on a fire hydrant.

I always say the Democrat Party.

The way in which Bernie is being schlonged proves
once and for all, there is absolutely nothing Democratic about them!

Maybe if Sanders had taken on the email scandal as a topic, he would have won the nomination. But nooooooooooo. He had to pat her back and give her a pass.

Maybe it’s a good thing. She’s a lousy candidate.

I am toying with the idea of changing my voter registration to Democrat so that I can vote for Bernie

You should probably vote for The Witch, so as to keep her propped up until the convention. I'd rather Trump run against The Witch than Bernie.

Tennessee and every other state which voted for Bush with 3 or more electoral votes.

He’s got nothing to lose. Before when he was pulling his punches he was doing so in order to secure he VP nomination. But Hillary made it clear she has no intention of putting him on the ticket so now he’s opening up with both barrels.

Bernie is correct about this one. A disaster for America — and for the D party

Four years ago, pundits were reporting that Obama figured he didn’t need the votes of white men in coal country to win the election. He was right and immediately began closing coal mines. Are you happy with that, coal country?

"As much as I’d rather not run against Sanders, it’d be hilarious if the Party pulled the rug out from under Hillary and effectively robbed her of the last chance she’ll ever have to be president."

It ends the Bush Era's the Obama Error and the Clinton Error as well. Pat Buchanan's 1992 RNC Convention speech was prescient beyond belief.

If Bernie helps put a metaphorical stake in the Clinton Dynasty Heart and end their "Ground Hog Day" 15 minutes of fame, over and over again., he would do America a great service.

Bernie might have a better chance for this nomination than we give him credit for. If the super delegates were to shift from Crooked Hillary over to him, he would be ahead of her and would only need to win maybe 30 per cent of the remaining delegates to go over the top.

Reading what he just said I would gather that VP is out. Besides, I think Obama has selected Hillary’s VP and is holding the DOJ over her to compel her.
