White House’s Susan Rice: U.S. national security agencies are too white
Washington Times ^ | May 11, 2016 | Dave Boyer

White House National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice said Wednesday there are too many white people in key government posts, creating the danger of “groupthink” that could put U.S. security at risk.

Speaking at Florida International University’s commencement, Ms. Rice said a diversified government workforce is more likely to yield “better outcomes” than a predominantly white one.

Referring to criticism that the U.S. national security workforce is “white, male, and Yale,” Ms. Rice told the graduates, “In the halls of power, in the faces of our national security leaders, America is still not fully reflected.”

“By now, we should all know the dangers of ‘groupthink,’ where folks who are alike often think alike,” she said. “By contrast, groups comprised of different people tend to question one another’s assumptions, draw on divergent perspectives and experiences, and yield better outcomes.”

People are calling Sam's Club CEO 'racist' after she gave an interview about diversity

"Just today we met with a supplier and the entire other side of the table was all Caucasian males. That was interesting. I decided not to talk about it directly with [the supplier's] folks in the room because there were actually no female, like, levels down. So I'm going to place a call to him."

Was it the “groupthink” that enabled the United States to rise to its pinnacle?

Third world (which is the group she thinks is underrepresented) group think is responsible for third world countries.

But the percentage of African Americans drops dramatically with each rise in job grade. They hold 27.6 percent of the lowest positions (GS 1-4), 25.8 percent of GS 5-8, 15.7 percent of GS 9-12, 10.9 percent of GS 13-15 and just 6.9 percent of Senior Pay levels.

American Indians form 1.9 percent of the federal workforce but make up 0.8 percent of the civilian labor force. Job grade participation ranges from 5 percent at GS 1-4 to 2.9 percent at GS 5-8 to only 0.8 percent at the Senior Pay level.

If Trump doesn’t get in, the country is finished. We are being governed by fools.

I agree. So hire some Conservative Republicans.

well you certainly beat me to it. Deserving of a repeat.

This was quite a clumsy blunder by Rice. Rice is coming out and saying that white people (and black people) all think alike which is admitting racism on her part. Then the real problem is group-like exercised by liberals and lack of political diversity. wow. what an opportunity.

Just what we need in re our intel people.

Don’t select those with the highest intelligence scores, lower the standards to accept/promote diversity.

Don’t run background checks to eliminate criminals, bad credit risks and those with dangerous associates to accept/promote diversity.

Don’t weed out compulsive gamblers, druggies and alcoholics as we need compulsive gamblers, druggies and alcoholics guarding our top secrets to accept/diversity.

Stop requiring Native born people for certain clearances. Don’t investigate their families and relatives to ensure that the candidates will not sell out to their former home country to accept/promote diversity.

Hire active and even criminal homosexuals, who are also druggies/alcoholics to accept/promote diversity.

Then, fire and dismiss anyone who doesn’t have the above problems if they are white and heterosexual to promote diversity.

This from the person who spread the knowingly false story on multiple news broadcasts that our Ambassador in Benghazi was killed because of a Internet video and who then participated in sending commercials saying the same thing to multiple foreign Muslim countries that incited hundreds of riots that killed many people, destroyed multiple American and European embassies, and destabilized several at risk governments of American Allies

We have seen what "groupthink" in the black community looks like. I'll be having none of that.

I’m waiting for a government official to say that the US Civil Service is too black, which leads to sloppy, slow work, and what is needed is an effort to attract more white people into the civil service.
