Chelsea Clinton, $10M Apartment, $3M Wedding, $600K Job: I Just Don’t Care About Money

The daughter of former President Bill Clinton and ex-secretary of state Hillary Clinton explained in a new interview why she left lucrative professions and opted for working with her family’s philanthropic foundation. ‘I was curious if I could care about (money) on some fundamental level, and I couldn’t,’ she said.

Hillary Clinton insists she isn’t “well-off” and now daughter Chelsea says she couldn’t care less about money.

“I was curious if I could care about (money) on some fundamental level, and I couldn’t,” she told UK’s The Telegraph, explaining why she gave up lucrative gigs to join her family’s philanthropic foundation.

Comparing her experience to the average millennial, the 34-year-old former first daughter defended jumping around to different careers — from consulting to a hedge fund to academia to journalism — before finding her true calling working with her parents.

“It is frustrating, because who wants to grow up and follow their parents? I’ve tried really hard to care about things that were very different from my parents … it’s a funny thing to realize I feel called to this work, both as a daughter and also as someone who believes I have contributions to make,” she continued about her reluctant status as a boomerang kid.

The Clinton name likely opened doors for the political heiress, including an eye-popping $600,000 annual salary for an irregular stint as an NBC special correspondent, but Chelsea insists her work speaks for itself.

My dad used to often quote “Little Orphan Annie” and it sure fits here.

“Whether you’re rich or poor, it’s always nice to have plenty of money.”

I Just Don’t Care About Money

Because she doesn't know where it comes from.

Affluenza is strong in her family.
So much money she doesn't have to care about it, nor follow any rules or think about what she says.

It's actually not a bad nor wrong conclusion

Once you get to the point where the bills are paid, you have all the food you want or need, your life includes another human (or two or three), and there's a reason to get out of bed ....

really .... why even THINK about money ?

People that DON'T have it all together are forced to think about money

She also planned to be a doctor back when she was going to Stanford. She dropped those tough courses pronto!

She’s a grifter and will grow up to be an even bigger criminal than her parents. The groundwork has been laid for her and her *SHUDDER* offspring.

I wonder if her compensation working for her family’s “foundation” is in the seven figures?

With all that loot, I wouldn’t care either. She lies as bad as her mother.

Even crazier is that her first gig at McKinsey & Company as a 22-23 y.o. kid more than a decade ago was over a half-million dollars salary per year.

She was obviously too young to know anything yet they were eager to have her as it might be favorable to their clients to have an "in" with a former POTUS.

But, she has to care about money and power to exceed her parents. Without caring about money, she’ll never get power. And without either, she’ll have to rely on mommy and daddy, for ever.

Take a trip back to the days of yesteryear and assume in an alternate history that G.H.W. Bush had done things differently and was elected to a 2nd term. Bubba would be back in AR, and we would all be peacefully oblivious to this wretched family. Instead, we have to suffer these folks and the possibility that Hillary will be elected President. Mot disturbing to me is the prospect of a Senator Chelsea Clinton (D-NY/CA?) and, with all of the money she will get as an only child from her parents estates, you can imagine her self-funding a run at the Presidency. If you listen to some of her arrogance out on the campaign trail for her mother, it’s not that hard to imagine. Ugh.

Whatever will she do if mommy and daddy are convicted, and the “foundation” money is all used up by fines and lawyer fees?

Poor thing!
