Chick-fil-A Dominates in NYC Despite de Blasio's Call for a Boycott

Mayor Bill de Blasio called for a city-wide boycott of Chick-fil-A last week, and it appears the people of New York have answered that call. The answer is a resounding "no." Both midtown Manhattan locations are reportedly raking it in, with long lunchtime lines that often stretch around the block.

Last week, Mayor de Blasio-- who is currently fending off several state and federal ethics probes -- urged New Yorkers to avoid eating at the politically incorrect eating establishment.

"What the ownership of Chick-fil-A has said is wrong," the mayor told reporters on Tuesday. "I'm certainly not going to patronize them and I wouldn't urge any other New Yorker to patronize them. But they do have a legal right."

The 7 Most Overrated Fast Food Restaurants

City Councilman Danny Dromm piled on, accusing Chick-fil-A of "forcing their employees and volunteers to adhere to a policy that prohibits same-sex love," which is not even remotely true.

In the wake of their city government's anti-Chick-fil-A temper tantrum, New Yorkers are demonstrating that they just "don’t give a cluck" about what the the chain's CEO said about same-sex marriage four years ago. While their rivals are struggling, Chick-fil-A is doing so well in the Big Apple, the company is planning to add 12 new restaurants in the New York metro area over the next year.

There customer service is so well known that I have heard that other fast food places talk about it is one to emulate.

The wife and I just had one of their spicy chicken sandwiches for lunch today. Amazingly juicy and GOOD!

Their customer service is unbelievable. Their employees ALL have a great attitude to work.

If I were the manager of one of those Chick-fil-A’s I’d personally deliver a meal to the mayor and his staff!

I like to tell this story on Chick Fil A threads.

Drive thru - just ordered a chicken biscuit - my card was declined. I didn’t know why at the time and was totally embarrassed. Before I could get out of my mouth..let me find another card...the girl said that’s okay. It’s on us.

This proceeded to embarrass me because I felt like a deadbeat drifter. I told her I could find another card to give her but she said that was okay. I thanked her and that store now has a loyal customer.

At least Chick-fil-a doesn’t have to serve pregnant women shots of alcohol like this psychopath demands of the basis of “equality.” You know some time it’s just not worth the time or the effort trying to decipher the liberal mind. In cases like this it’s so far gone you wonder if it will ever touch sanity again.

It’s so nice to know NYC has so few problems that our current mayor can focus on this.

I’ve never had a problem with them. I eat there often for breakfast. I’d have lunch there too but the lines are too long.

Amazing.

New Yorkers clearly like Chick Fil A. Either they don’t care what the owner said about homosexual marriage, or they don’t believe the company should be targeted for destruction because of that subject.

It amazed me too because the liberals won the battle over homosexual marriage. So why is due Blasio beating a dead horse?? The liberals won. De Blasio should be happy since he’s liberal. Instead he’s still pissed off at Chick Fil A.

Just like everywhere else the Fag/perv lobby is only popular to about 2% of the population. Chik-Fil-A couldn’t have found a better endorsement themselves.

Just because the pols and meadia whoores love queers doesn’t mean anything like a majority of Americans backs this shyt.

But that is exactly the game that he is playing — divert attention away from the failure of his leadership.

Rather than getting rid of evil chicken, how about NY’ers focus on getting rid of totalitarian tyrants from their offices?

Gotta have a deluxe Chick-Fil-a sandwich: w/ frilly lettuce leaf, vine-
ripened tomato slices, cheese slice. Add a side of hot, crisp waffle fries,
large iced real lemonade, couple containers of CFA's luscious "special
sauce....." and you got lunch.

======================================

No less a sophisticate than Esquire Mag named Chick-fil-a one of the nation's best sandwiches.

ESQUIRE REVIEW You can get a chicken sandwich anywhere, which may explain your low expectations. Boneless breast. Bun. Blah. But down south, there lives an eye-opener.

A come-to-Jesus sandwich. The Chick-fil-A. Seasoned, breaded breast served on a toasted buttered bun with dill- pickle slices. No mayo. No sauce at all. Deceptively simple, yet transcendent. The hook is the breading: spicy, with an intoxicating crunch.

The meat is always juicy, never chewy. The bun is like lingerie -- there, but not, providing delicious support without obscuring the main flavor. The first bite changes everything you think you know about chicken. And about the need for condiments. -- Allison Glock
