It is intellectually dishonest to ignore the facts that surgery never has been a medically necessary procedure for treating gender dysphoria and that taking cross-gender hormones can be harmful. Modern transgender activists, the descendants of Kinsey, Benjamin, and John Money, keep alive the practice of medically unnecessary gender-change surgery by controlling the flow of published information and by squelching research and personal stories that tell of the regret, unhappiness, and suicide experienced by those who undergo such surgery. Negative outcomes are only acknowledged as a way to blame society for its transphobia.
Transgender clients who regret having taken this path are often full of shame and remorse. Those who regret their decision have few places to turn in a world of pro-transgender activism. For me, it took years to muster the courage to stand up and speak out about the regret.

Sex change “medicine” is a giant quackery. It makes modern day trepanning.
These people need talk therapy and counseling.
Look it simple.....if your body and mind are not it sync on who you are.....would you not treat the mind?... not mutilate the body?
I would lay odds that the same is true of queers who “come out.” They want to believe that facing up to their “true identity” will ensure them peace and genuineness, but it doesn’t, because the truth is that they are mentally ill and simply demanding that society’s mirror reflect the image they WANT to see. Just like trannies, they need mental help, not enablement for their sickness.
I’m curious as to the policy of the appropriate certifying boards (urology, gyn, gensurg) re this.

Most young boys fantasize about what it must be like to be the opposite gender (just like many girls have a stage of "penis envy"). Especially as from the vantage point of a boy, the process of becoming a man can be scary and intimidating for them. It is probably a natural tendency to not want to have to leave that protective cocoon - being pushed out of the nest so to speak.
Girls in our society are sheltered and protected through adulthood and no great expectations are put upon them except being a mother and somewhat competent housewife. Anything else they do is a bonus. Boys on the other hands are expected to defend themselves and protect others. There is considerable pressure upon them to learn a trade and become the money earner of the family. They may even be called upon to go to war.
It seems much easier from a boy's point of view to put on a dress and be protected and cared for by others with all pressures to achieve taken away.
Normally in our society over the years, you have a strong father who does not put up with such nonsense and steers his sons accordingly. Also, social pressures came into play to keep boys on the right track. You were told to "man up" and stop being a sissy. But with the scarcity of strong men in our society, and with the stigma of a boy acting feminine removed, many boys are okay with being treated as girls, and as such, they become girls - at least in mind and spirit.
Lastly, with all the special attention and privileges being bestowed upon boys who express a desire to be a girl, we are seeing this situation starting to get out of hand.
What is bizarre is that they don’t see the masculine face, the large hands, the bowlegged hobble - they see beautiful, feminine princesses when they look in the mirror.
They actually see a soft, natural, loving woman instead of the hardened, mentally ill man who is looking back at them.
I can’t be sure about Diane Sawyer but Bruce Jenner has not had ‘the surgery’. He is a creation of female hormones, silicone, makeup and a new wardrobe.
Don’t forget we have the crazy and corrupt ignorant president of the United States hurting kids by promoting this nonsense.

I think the Diane Sawyer reference is due to her interview with Bruce Jenner, not because she is herself a tranny. As for Jenner/Caitlyn, he may not have had any surgery (yet) but the author wants to warn him and others away from that path.....

The honorable solution to this dysfunction is to "permit" them to become loving, tender human beings AS MALES, not to mutilate themselves into some sorry facsimile of a female.
