Vallejo named fourth in list of most dangerous California cities
Vallejo Times Herald ^ | 05/17/2016 | Matthew Adkins

Posted on 05/18/2016 2:34:09 PM PDT by DFG

A study newly released by the California-based law offices of Graham Donath lists Vallejo as the fourth most dangerous city in the state.

The list was determined after comparing a number of factors, including 2014 crime rates, investment in police presence, community risk factors and geopolitical issues.

Coming in ahead of Vallejo was Modesto, which was ranked third most dangerous. Stockton took second place and San Bernadino took the uncoveted honors of first place.

Oakland was ranked the sixth most dangerous city in the study despite having the largest amount of violent crimes. For every 100,000 residents, 1685 violent crimes were committed in Oakland, a number which is more than twice the crime rate of San Francisco and three times larger than Los Angeles.

Vallejoans reported 865 violent crimes per 100,000 residents in 2014.

Violent crimes are defined by the study as any instance of murder, non-negligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

When compared to crime rates from 2013, the numbers in California are down in almost every category. This is consistent with a decades-long downward trend in violence that peaked in 1992.

One noteable statistic from the study shows that Vallejo had the second most number of rapes reported in California, with approximately 53 cases reported in 2014.

Bernie Sanders will have a rally at the Vallejo waterfront today.

I was born and raised in Vallejo. Both of my parents worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard and they still live there in the house I grew up in. Fortunately, I went to private schools in Walnut Creek and Martinez. I moved to the North Dallas area in 1991 and have been here ever since.

Vallejo is a cesspool. It is one of the drug and murder capitals of the bay area.

Vallejo is ranked as the 4th most dangerous city in California. Oakland is 6th.

Vallejo High School was put on accreditation sanctions a few weeks ago. Vallejo High School teachers and staff have been engaged in sabotage of the school’s accreditation process. Members of the accreditation commission witnessed the sabotage.

a few years ago, a Vallejo, California real estate broker was arrested ... for going around town stealing all the newspapers from the racks

the headline said something like “Vallejo is Number One in Murders”

the realtor explained that he couldn’t get clients to buy houses in Vallejo ...when he drove them around they saw the big black headlines in the news racks....

(of course, he COULD have PAID for his papers....smile smile ...but that’s another story....)

Vallejo is mafia central in northern Kalifornia. A few miles up I 80 north of Oakland, whites don't dare walk the downtown streets of Vallejo or Oakland after dark. Thanks to the soft on crime libturd democrats who run the state, white hard working folks are fleeing the state in droves and those that don't leave better be wealthy because those in the state house are coming after your money to give to the dead beats so they can get reelected.

Hmmm, these statistics are on reported crimes.

One strongly suspects that cities and counties just might be finding creative ways to massage the violent crime numbers, and deceive folks into thinking that things are better.

They are not, one most strongly suspects.

I've been to Vallejo, Stockton, Merced etc, (it's been some years) and I find it a bit hard to believe that these places are seeing reductions in crime and violent crime.

That said, I suspect that the East Bay just might lead Northern Cali in violent crimes, perhaps not so much in reporting.

I have absolutely no proof to support my suspicions, just a feeling based on observations and my hunches. Opposing opinion is cheerfully invited.

All the dangerous cities in California and the nation are totally run by Democrats from decades. It’s no coincidence.

Most of the fishwraps in these dangerous cities are left wing. So the bad news is massaged and hidden daily/weekly after page 1 and 2.

Then, Sacramento is controlled from Moonbeam down by rats with the super liberal Sac Bee. The state AG makes Lynch look like a moderate, and her priorities are PC ism to the nth degree.

Vallejo has a large Filipino population as well as many elderly white federal government retirees like my parents.

My Dad worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 30 years and retired when the base closed in 1995. My parents paid off the house in the early 1970’s and their property tax is about $600 per year (prop 13 protected).

What is interesting, is CA is not even in the 10 most violent states in America by violent crime rate per 100,000 population, according to FBI data.

Almost DOUBLE the crime rate in Oakland vs. the pikers in Vallejo. Obviously, #BlackOnBlackCrimeDoesn’tMatter
