Agreed, but it says the following on green papers...

If fewer than 14 delegates are allocated (due to the 20% threshold or rounding), those delegates become unbound.

I guess he wouldn’t get all of the at-large 14 if it turned out like Oregon.

Oh and I forgot to include the following...

Allocation is in proportion to the total statewide vote NOT the total vote of those candidates receiving 20% or more of statewide vote.

This tells me that if Trump gets 70% and the other two “leftovers” each get 15%, Trump will only get 10 of the 14, leaving the other 4 unbound.

How about that.

There are over 300 delegates up for grabs in two weeks also.

Several weeks ago, it looked to me like Trump might get 1500 or close to it.

I still think Cruz will wind up short of 600 too.

There’s a 20% floor in Washington to share in the 14 proportional delegates.

50% gets all 3 delegates of the 10 CDs. You have to hit 20% to get a delegate if a candidate falls below 50% in a CD.

Realistically, Trumps should sweep all 44 delegates under these rules.

Washington votes by mail or drop off of voted ballot.

3. Return your ballot

Your ballot must be:
•Postmarked no later than Election Day; or
•Returned to a designated ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Election Day; or
•Returned in person to your county elections department by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Correction. The statewide allocation will leave some delegates unbound if, for example, Trump ends up at 70% and Cruz and Kaisich end up with 15% each.

So best guestimate is somewhere between 38 and 42 or so delegates for Trump with a handful 2-6 unbound depending on what percentage Trump hits.

Your most likely range:
between roughly 61% and 68% will get 9 of 14.
between roughly 68% and 75% will get 10 of 14.
between roughly 75% and 82% will get 11 of 14.

Here is the WA GOP info:

Tuesday, May 24th is the date of the Washington State Presidential Primary!

If you have not turned in your ballot, be sure to do so by 8:00 pm tomorrow night. Your vote counts!

The state-wide Republican results will determine allocation of 100% of the delegates to
the Cleveland Convention. While delegates were elected this weekend at the state convention, their
personal preferences will not be considered. Instead, YOU the Primary voters will decide
the allocation of the 44 votes from Washington State.

So make your voice heard. Turn in your ballot on time and make it count!

at this point, whether he is 3 away or 7 away is a detail. NJ is WTA, and when they close on June 7 that’s it.

I know, I feel the same way about my sister-in-law and her family cruising to Mexico this week from Galveston. Then again, they’re mostly Dems.

Republican’s and Democrats have already had caucuses, but the people also have mail in ballots and today is the last day for them to be mailed in. On the ballot you have to mark if you are voting Democrat or Republican. So if you mark republican you have to choose one of the republican’s on the ballot. Same if you mark democrat you have to choose one of them.

the delegates are the ones that attend the convention and the ones that vote on the candidates....and all the other issues...

so there are little things like the party platform...

the party rules going forward (delegate allotments, primary details, budget committees, etc etc)

all these things the Cruz delegates will get to direct their desires toward....so by securing the delegates Cruz actually positions himself to direct the party going forward....he will have a significant influence.

There are ballot drop boxes that poll workers do go around to and collect tonight (at least in Pierce County). They’ll take them back and count them tonight.
