I would prefer Patraeus.

I like it. I hope Newt is picked. He’s smart and tough enough to handle it.

Gingrich has mastermind skills of his own and would boost the output of and President if he is VP.

I much prefer Newt for a “senior advisor” type role behind the scenes and then within the White House. Trump can get ALL the benefits of Newt’s knowledge and advice without any of the baggage in an electoral or operational setting.

Newt could be a valuable asset to a President Trump. But not as VP.

It’s a demanding job, Newt isn’t a spring chicken, and he’s always been something of a loose cannon. But he’d make a good political advisor.

Can anyone imagine what it would be like if Newt debated Elizabeth Warren? That debate would have the same ratings as the Super Bowl.

I love Newt but! Two septuagenarians on the ticket is not the best idea I have heard this year.
Trump and a Marsha Blackburn for President and Newt Gingrich for Secretary of Ideas.

Yep, Newt is the best choice he’s likely to make.

Selecting a General runs contrary to his claim to disentangle from engagements abroad.

Judging from the flak I’ve received here for promoting Newt these last 2 weeks, the only objectors are hard core Trump supporters.

This tells me Newt broadens the base.

Tom Brady.

Trump keeps bringing him up as his good friend and he would put New England into play enough that Hilldawg would have to devote resources to defend what should be locked away electoral votes.

And between Trump's family and Brady's, she wouldn't get one second of free television time or a single magazine cover.

Gingrich for VP. Trump can show his commitment to fighting global warming and working with Nancy Pelosi.

Newt will STEP IN IT too many times. He’s simply too easy for the media to make fun of, as in this:
