Folks, if you don’t know why Newt isn’t a good idea, please leave this issue to others.

"It will take at least a year for him to organize his top government appointments after taking the oath. Obama hold-overs could continue the run a government for a year or even longer."

This quote from the author is pure insanity. Sure Trump will leave Obama's people in place for a year or more, lol.

Newt would be an excellent VP.
2nd in line.
Won’t take any crap off the dimrat media.
Doesn’t back down and knows how DC works.
And he would send the dimrats and fellow libtards into mass hysteria. Would be fun to watch.

Trump is steamrolling Hillary in part because of all her baggage.
Newt, much as we may like him, has a whole lotta baggage from around the same time that she can use to her benefit.

Bad choice. “Contract on America” anyone? (Yeah that stupid rhetoric was BS, but it worked.)

Newt Gingrich for Vice President?

Chris Ruddy is a best friend of Bill Clinton who gave a HUGE amount of money to the Clinton Crime Foundation.

I love Newt, but have grave concerns about his support of NAFTA and other GOPe programs and situations over the years. It’s also hard for me to forget the couch session with Hillary.

Not an endorsement at all, but I heard some impressive reasons that Rand Paul was good strategerie. I have some libertarian views but I don’t like agenda-driven absolutes in anyone. The fact that Donald Trump openly says he has to be flexible about things in order to be able to bargain at a table, is actually realistic and comforting to me. It’s not what a politician would say, but might be what Patton would say before leading into battle. We might have to take casualties to attain an objective.

I feel a little of that true believer agenda thing in Rand Paul; don’t like it. But I’ve also seen he has a spine, he’s articulate, and he’s intelligent, but a strong spine has to be flexible to get anywhere.

I do see the strategerie though. Burned Bern Bait.

From where I sit, and maybe I don’t know as much about American politicians as I should, but Gingrich seems unstable. Not in a medical sense, but it seems he will tend to his own needs before the needs of the nation.

Nikos, I love you, but I disagree. He is too needy, wants to be adored too much. Also we don’t benefit from having a great veep one day be able to be Prez.

The statement “on the top of Trump’s list” confounds me. I don’t think Trump has offered any list. Others have on his behalf and when he is asked he says he will give him name at the convention.

Newt may be the one person establishment DC hates worse than Trump. And in that fact lies the brilliance of choosing Newt for VP— if Stabby McBeck-Thor talks a “real patriot” into offing Trump, they’ll be stuck with Newt.

I love Newt, and these reasons are pretty solid, but I remain sceptical that this is the right selection. I prefer Newt in an advisor/Chief of Staff position. I will defer to Trump’s judgement however.

Newt’s push of NAFTA to help Clinton/Gore was pure genius as well.

I would like for Newt to be in Trump’s administration too. I think there’s a better fit for him in some other position than VP. I’m just not feeling it, what with all the rules that are being broken by Mr. Trump. I trust DJT to create a stellar VP list that will knock our socks off if he chooses to release such a thing, and if not, it’s okay with me if he surprises us at the Convention with his pick.

I’m still favoring Peter G. Fitzgerald, former US Senator for the state of IL. He turned over the tables of the money changers in DC, eventually falling out of grace with his party, but served our country admirably in doing so. His wife is a fine woman that just happens to be from somewhere far south of the border, which couldn’t hurt, what with the dynamics of today. See: Nina Kersteins Fitzgerald.

Newt also makes Ryan irrelevant. You have your VP as the effective Speaker of the House as well as President of the Senate.

Look at a map and tell me what Newt brings on Election Night.

Trump needs to keep stealing more populist/conservative Democrats. Jim Webb if he can become the ex Reagan secretary of Navy Jim Webb. Webb may be beyond redemption by that’s the idea.

NEWT AS A VP IS PURE STUPID!

First Newt has the reputation of another life long Washington Insider.

Newt is NOT a fresh face or an outsider.

Newt is a Globalist and Trump is a Nationalist

Newt is the guy that got suckered with NAFTA, GATT, Glass Steagall and believes in climate change.
