Trump's Decision To Debate Sanders In California Is His Most Genius Move Yet
Zerohedge ^ | May 27, 2016 | Tyler Durden

If the Trump/Sanders debate proceeds as planned in California, you’re about to witness one of the most important moments of a 2016 general election that hasn’t even begun yet. To say such a debate would be an unmitigated disaster for Hillary Clinton would be the understatement of the century. Let’s explore why.

First of all, Hillary Clinton outright rejected a debate request from Bernie Sanders ahead of the June 7th California primary. Given Sanders’ recent momentum, as well as her need to persuade a significant number of his supporters to back her in November; such a denial was not only arrogant, it was highly insulting to voters in America’s largest state. From team Clinton’s perspective there was little upside to agreeing to a debate, versus easily manageable downside from a few days of negative media coverage.

Or so they thought…

Say whatever about Trump, use any pejorative you want, his IQ must literally be off the charts.

The author gushes about Trump's brilliance. If anything he understates the case. Trump is literally running rings around EVERYBODY. And, he is doing it all by himself, and on the cheap. We are witnessing a phenomena.

“Trump is literally running rings around EVERYBODY.”

He really is.

And it’s driving them nuts, they’re only explanation seems to be: “Trump is really dumb.”

Trump isn’t playing by the establishment’s rules, and the establishment doesn’t know what to do about it.

There is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING that Trump does that he has not thought through 3 steps ahead knowing the outcome would be favorable to him. I firmly believe his “gaffes” are planned and executed at the right time...

Just the mere mention of a debate with Sanders accomplishes the demeaning of Hillary. - even though the debate has 0 chance of occurring.

He would be the first person to tell you that but his modesty prevents it. These debates do not have to even happen for him to win.

What puzzles me, is I distinctly recall Newt Gingrich telling an interviewer that a large percentage of their time is spent on how to circumvent the media, and get their message out.

All those meeting and all that (I assume) brain power, and the msm still was able to lie and advance their agenda without much effort.

Newt and Co. should have called: 1-800-GO TRUMP! Problem solved.

I’m pretty much convinced Hellary is done. Her replacement is the wild card. Biden is the only real option.

“Given Sanders’ recent momentum, as well as her need to persuade a significant number of his supporters to back her in November; such a denial was not only arrogant, it was highly insulting to voters in America’s largest state. “

And then she has the unmitigated gall to say she will debate anywhere at anytime.

And there are people that actually believe her.

It was a good move, and the idiots on the left just dropped it into his lap. It wasn't Trump's initiative that created the opportunity, it was Bernie's big mouth, picked up by Kimmel.

Trump is very quick on his feet, taking whatever language the press wants to make a negative, and explaining the positive side of the same phrase - like foreign leaders being "rattled."

Hillary and her support structure, the combined US press operation, are going to have a tough time strong-arming her win, and Hillary isn't helping. Pretty much, her surrogates, the press, have to win this for Hillary on their own. They are trying mightily, but they don't have much juice.

If I were the 20 new journalists hired at the wapost - I'd have them all following Biden around.

Trump is sewing chaos within the Democrat Party. We all know the DNC elites will choose Clinton. The “super delegates” will ensure that, even though her popularity is questionable.

Trump will raise Sanders’ stature. Trump will also try to attract to Sanders’ voters. I expect you will see him agree with Sanders even more than he disagrees.

Clinton may even lose California, the last big primary, to Sanders - at which point, Clinton goes in as the nominee, but severely diminished and limping.

I had a scary thought about this last night. Many of us have been saying that no one can beat Trump. Only Trump can beat himself. I wonder if this will be seen as that, Trump beating himself. Sanders is going to be in full attack-Trump mode. This could backfire on Trump.

I really hope he does it. $10 million for women’s health issue could help him with courting female votes.

Also massive free air time.

Even after the debate and Sander still lose due to Hillary. This could only help Trump court Sander’s voters
