He is both an entertainer and a patriot. Being both was unacceptable until he showed how it could be done.
His show has always been a mixture of entertainment, news analysis, and his opinions. I do not know why you would expect different.

He proudly tooted the horn of the good ship Cruz until it sank beneath the waves, then climbed aboard the USS Trump like he was a paying passenger.

He’s tried that trick before. After more than a decade of absolute silence on illegal immigration he pretended to be a leader against it once the grassroots pressure against Dubya’s amnesty was overwhelming.
I am the same age as Rush and have been in radio for as long as he has. Rush himself stated years ago that he was an entertainer and he has also said many times, “Show prep is everything.” He is just following the current trends to be entertaining.
Finally! Someone is doing what this former liberal(me) has been telling conservatives, ANYONE, to do to the Left. Just give it right back to them!
