Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton currently holds a slight lead over Republican Donald Trump among Florida voters. Statewide, 45% support Clinton, 42% back Trump, 6% say they will vote for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and 7% are undecided.

The two-way numbers are unchanged with and without Johnson in the mix. This suggests the race will be determined by the undecideds and possibly also how Johnson's supporters break when reality sets in that he doesn't have a chance of winning.

I think Florida is Trump's to lose. All he has to do is show he is not the ogre the other side is describing him as. A running mate that broadens his support might be sufficient.

Most Libertarians are protest voting. They know they have no shot. Anything above 1% for Johnson is tantruming sore Cruzers and never trumpers hoping Hillary wins, IMO.

Disagree...Let Trump be Trump and pick a VP that is a good VP for Trump...no pandering pick, “broadening” pick, or anything else anyone else but Trump decides. I’m tired of having candidates picked based on what “group” they will bring on board. Screw it.

I think Trump only intends on being President for One Term, so his VP pick better be good.

Florida will always be relatively close, but this is not yet an accurate picture of the race. My guess is today Trump has a narrow lead but that will tick up to the +/- 5 range by Election Day.

Unfortunately the welfare scum from the rest of the Lower 48 seems to make a beeline for Florida.

Screw it.

Right. Politics as usual is not the prescription this year, and ticket-broadening, balancing, etc., isn't what people look to Trump for. He has broken the mold, and he needs to keep on doing what he does.

Why do you think that? I've never heard him or his close staff ever say or imply that.

I just don’t get it...With all that is known about Hillary Clinton and her ?husband? (Bill, not Huma) how can people STILL vote for her and say they are America lovers????

Unless you have been living in a cave and paying ZERO attention to REAL life, then you do know about this b*tch and her conniving, lying, thievery...

How can someone vote for her??????????

He can’t say it. But my gut tells me hand wants to get in there for one term, and then hand it off to somebody else. I could be wrong, but I sense he really doesn’t want to do it for 8 years if he feels he could appoint someone to carry on the work after his first term.

Any morons, leftist hacks, morally rotten voters who experience pain and economic hardships from the policies they voted for via their rotgut pols then we have near zero sympathy for them. ZERO -— as in OblahMao.

I thought so too but heard him say he expected to be around for two terms - I think it was a clip from Fox and about a week ago.

Who’d believe the poll about Trump nowadays when annoying Newsmax pop up poll said Trump would drop out late last year?

We have too many transplants down here in Florida that have never figured out why the places they left are so screwed up. They continue to vote the same way they did when they lived up north.

625 registered Florida voters

This poll is worthless, unless a pollster is trying to say a horse race is happening so they can stay relevant and sell polls.
