The aliens are trying to locate the remains of the
Roswell Crash of 1947.
This is the military attempt to confuse them?

Don’t some missiles rely upon GPS to find targets? Is this some kind of new air defense weapon being tested??

"Dont some missiles rely upon GPS to find targets? Is this some kind of new air defense weapon being tested??" Absolutely.
I the early GPS days, the military 'detuned' the GPS reading to civilians.

Come on Bill, you know our jamming of their GPS system back in 1947 was the reason for their crash.

Not sure a compass would help a pilot flying IFR.

The only aliens in Nevada are illegal ones.
This is really a grand conspiracy to cover up for Google Maps rerouting drivers to the brothels.

Then all those “self-driving” cars will grind to a halt, their GPS systems chirping “satellite signal lost”.

China Lake, located "just down the road" from Area 51. Maybe a little more that a short afternoon drive.

Not sure a compass would help a pilot flying IFR.Seriously? Heading, attitude, altitude and airspeed. You can go anywhere without looking out the window.

Funny thing, it is a required instrument for instrument flying.
