Brexit poll sees 10-point 'leave' lead two weeks before vote (Britain likely to quit EU)

The campaign for Britain to leave the European Union took a 10 percentage-point lead in a poll published late Friday, less than two weeks before the country votes in a referendum. The pound dropped.

The survey of 2,000 people by ORB for the Independent newspaper found 55 percent in favor of a so-called Brexit, up 4 points since a previous poll in April, with 45 percent for "Remain," down 4 points. It's the biggest "Leave" lead recorded by ORB in polls for the newspaper. The pound was 1.4 percent lower at $1.4256 at 7:24 p.m. in London.

It's the latest online poll to suggest an advance for the "Leave" campaign, while a YouGov survey published Monday put "Remain" narrowly ahead. Polling companies themselves have expressed doubt about the reliability of their surveys, having failed to forecast the result of last year's British general election.

Prime Minister David Cameron, in comments before the ORB survey's release, urged the public to ignore polls.

This is huge. If Britain secedes from the European Union it will be a global political/economic earthquake. I am hoping they do because I detest the EU as a corrupt anti-democratic leftist junta. But there are going to be serious risks that attach to this. Especially to Britain's economy.

I don’t see much risk to Britain from getting off the sinking EU ship...

Maybe I’m out of line but I see this Brexit thing as also an indicator of whether Trump is going to be President. If it goes through, it shows me the world is ready to be more exclusionary and determined to help themselves. If it goes the other way, it shows people want the status quo. Which is death to all of us.

I believe one Bubba Clinton is campaigning to get the Brits to stay. I'm sure he is getting a handsome kickback for his support.

Rule of thumb: if der Schlictmeister is FOR it, vote against it.

Wow, great news. Same people who push for “diversity” are pushing to homogenize Europe.

“Should I Go or Should I Stay?”

Much of the damage is already done. The British Empire cannot be reconstituted, and any alliance with North America is almost out of the question.

Correct. This is a sign of how fed up people worldwide are with the globalist, pro-Muslim, anti-Western governments now running everything.

It is also Britain’s last chance to ever control their nation and start getting rid of the Islamic threat.

What I’m hearing is that without the EU, there is no way refugees in Calais will not be allowed to cross over into GB. That’s one concern I’m reading about.

Unfortunately; I think Great Britain will ultimately stay in the EU regardless of how many votes there are for a Brexit. The EU needs Britain more than Britain needs the EU.

'It's not the people who vote that count, it's the people who count the votes'?

(paraphrased allegedly from stalin, although the authenticity of the origin is questionable, but the sentiment is valid)

Are you saying Brexit will increase the size of the muzzie invasion of England?

I’m with you. I hope this lead holds. Not ONLY because Obama had to go over to pimp for them staying in the EU. That putz!
