Stephen Colbert Slams Senate for Failing to Pass Gun Control Bills

Stephen Colbert was angrier than usual with the Senate after they failed to pass any of the proposed gun control bills this week. The Late Show host had a hard time believing that they couldn’t come together on something that so many Americans agree on, saying, “Ninety-two percent of Americans want to expand background checks for gun buyers, and you just ignore them. Since when does 8 percent of the population get to have total control of an issue?”

Well, in that case. First the lyin' king is furious and now coldburt is taking the gloves off. Guess suzie collins bill will sail right through now. 'Specially with linda grahms endorsement. When does 8% of the population get to have control of an issue? Heck, when does less than 5% of the population get to tell everyone which toilet to use? In 2014 the number of "rifle" homicides was less than 300. Not even broken down to ARs, out of 300+ million population you really want to go there? Why yes, yes they do.

If someone can’t articulate what restrictions & checks are already in place, nor explain how new checks will change anything, then that someone sure shouldn’t be making violently-enforced policy about it.

“Those on the terrorist watch list shouldn’t be able to buy guns!” If they’re in that list, why the he11 are they on the street? Not like they’ll be prohibited from buying box cutters, fertilizer, or gasoline (all used for even higher body counts).

If the government took everyones gun away how would this orlando incident be any different?

I mean we ALREADY had a situation where nobody had a gun - except the terrorist.

We have enough gun laws on the books, they just need to be enforced, but that isn't what Barky wants, he wants ALL our guns, and America to be a gun free zone, and that's NOT going to happen, so he can yell, and stomp his feet and threaten us all he wants, it's still NOT going to happen!!!

Yet Colbert is apparenlty just fine with the numerous OBAMA FBI background checks that FAILED on Florida goat boy. What goose stepping propagandist he is.

David Letterman showed his true brooding, angry liberal side in his last years on the Late Show, but that was still better than this clown Colbert. As liberal as CBS is they’re not happy with his crappy ratings. I think at some point they’ll pull the plug on him.
