I just shake my head. People can’t be that stupid to okay an ammo ban, can they?

Well... it is California.

I thought the question was settled back in 1982 when the California voters REJECTED Prop 15 to ban the future sale of handguns. To me, that would be also a repudiation of both handgun magazine limits and ammo bans.

But then, that is California where nothing is as it looks.

If you read the entire post- ALL AMMO, instate Out of State, Online is to be banned.

If we had had these Libs in office before WWII we would all be reading this in Japanese or German. The stated reason the Japanese did not invade the U.S. after Pearl Harbor is the Second Amendment. Too many people had firearms in the U.S.. They want to make certain now that ISIS can walk in the front door now!

“Unconstitutional”

Correct. Maybe next they’ll vote to make slavery legal again.

Don’t count on any help from the supreme court. Half of them agreed today that the president can make law all by himself.

Ammo Warehouse in Pahrump! And unless/until Gavin is successful, they will ship UPS here in CA and they have bargain basement pricing.

Once ammo is outlawed, only outlaws will have ammo.

If this passes, I hope that a million armed, well-to-do, tax-paying, pissed off citizens leave that Hell-hole. They could kill the Dems nationally if a bunch settled in swing states, and make Kali a Turd World nation even more quickly. Let the remaining Leftist asswipes live with the consequences of their stupidity.

If there is another tragic Kate Steinlee killing, then all bets are off.

Really? Hundreds die every year to illegals and no one does squat.

If this is true and it passes, I see a lot of hobbyists that learn the craft of reloading and making their own ammunition in CA.

Remember how that Prohibition thing went back in the 20s? Then there was that time when the government went on a campaign to confiscate weapon and Ammo on the outskirts of Boston.

Thanks, but reading the entire post is contradictory. If the possession of ammo were illegal, possession of an operable firearm of any type by any person under any circumstance would be illegal.

This would present some legal issues.

This proposition would require background checks for ammo purchases, establish a license system for sellers of ammunition, ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, among other things.

Not to worry. If the voters succeed in banning ammo, I’m sure some judge declare the results unconstitutional.....as usual.

You are absolutely correct1 If they can’t restrict weapons then ban ammo. Haven’t you figured that out. Just a series of little incremental steps until the achieve their objectives.

California voters could decide in November whether to ban ownership of firearm magazines that hold more 10 rounds of ammunition.

I thought these were banned in California 20 years ago?

Walmart is the largest single seller of ammunition. They will have to secure a license to sell at each Walmart, and every salesperson will be required to undergo a background check and a Certificate of Eligibility. That will raise the cost of selling , the cost of ammunition and probably prove too much of a hassle for most dealers to sell ammo. And each purchaser awill have to undergo a background check each time they purchase + be limited in the amount they are able to buy.

But that doesn’t sound to threatening does it? Let’s just wait and find out.
