Trump has not been a born-again Christian, but that does not mean that he hasn’t become one recently.

The reaction of some here over this article, reminds me of the time Jesus could not do a miracle in a certain city due to their unbelief.

My family and I have been praying for Mr. Trump’s salvation and I know there are other believers here who are praying for his salvation. And believe you me, if you’re going to have a prayer life, you better add some faith to it if you expect to see an answer from God.

When it comes to biblical salvation, who is a Christian and who isn’t a Christian, is not always an easy thing to determine.

Over the years, I’ve seen many professing Christians live like the devil. And I’ve seen those who live moral and upright lives, disregard the saving grace that’s in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Receiving Christ as your personal Savior is a simple and childlike act of faith. And people are saved in different ways at different times in their lives.

One person may receive the Lord Jesus out of fear of eternal punishment, while someone else receives Him like the French minister who said, “I was kissed awake.”

None of us knows whether or not Mr. Trump bowed his heart and received the gift of eternal life in Christ, but I do know that these meetings with evangelicals (and charismatics) are not his first encounter with the gospel.

A few years ago, my pastor would see Mr. Trump in the audience on several occasions at David Jeremiah’s church in California. The services are taped live for broadcast. So you see, God may have planted seed in him before these recent meetings. By the way, David Jeremiah is a sound, biblical pastor and a fine godly man as is Mr. Falwell Jr, Mr. Graham, Mr. Jeffress, Mr. Dobson, etc.

Of course no one can judge another's heart or salvation.

You can judge what they value, what is important to them and what they say and do. Trump -an evangelical born-again Christian? These don't fit. Trump and evangelical Christian social conservatism? Nah. He doesn't even understand the issues or support the cultural war they're supposed to be fighting.

What's wrong with this picture?

It's awkward to for evangelical Christians and Trump both. I can understand the mutual benefit, but it's embarrassing to the pastors.

"He's not Hillary." and "He met with the pastors." That has to be enough for the Christian Right. Go with it.

Thank you for your excellent post. That Trump was seen at David Jeremiah’s church is so so encouraging to hear. Thank you and your family for praying for Trump’s salvation and with you, I am believing that God has heard our prayers and is drawing Trump to Himself. He has certainly surrounded him with godly men who no doubt continuously pray for him. I love that the Lord is accomplishing His will on earth in His own way, through a man who does not fit our pious mold. This “small” tidbit from Dr. Dobson is the best news I have heard so far in this election. WOW Lord, and Amen and Amen!

James Dobson is not a pastor. His PhD is in child development from USC and began his career as a hospital psychologist. He has a deeply stubborn, judgmental streak that often comes through in his broadcasts.

Sorry, I still haven't gotten over how he sandbagged Fred Thompson in favor of Crazy McQueeg in the last presidential election.

Count me as one who has also been praying for Mr. Trump’s salvation since i heard him answer “no,” he’d never asked God for forgiveness before. Now, i wasn’t going to write this because it sounds so hokey, even after reading your reply. Then the very next reply was that photo of Trump with the other guy (Falwell?), the guy from Trinity, and I just have to say this.

Like most people, i dream sometimes but i usually don’t remember what they’re about unless i happen to wake up during the dream. In the past few months I’ve had a few dreams with Mr Trump in them, but I’ve never been able to remember any details. Mr. Trump’s personality in these dreams was different than what I’ve seen on TV all these months; it’s something I don’t understand and can’t explain, other than he was much kinder and gentler than what I’ve seen before.

But get this: There is always a spiritual theme to the dreams, and there is a man with him who is a spiritual person, but this man’s exact identity is always clouded because he’s always fuzzy w/o a distinctive face or anything. For some reason, I had a sense that it was the Trinity Univ. guy, and I’ve even thought about sending him a letter telling him about this dream and that I thought it meant God was going to use him or someone else to lead Mr. Trump to Christ so please pray for guidance.

I’ve never sent this letter because I always talked myself out of it, rationalizing that I wasn’t even 100% sure who the spiritual-minded man in my dream WAS, and besides, I don’t tend to believe in this kind of stuff.

When I saw the photo, just now, i had one of those déjà vu experiences and that’s the only reason i’m writing this. That’s him. The man in that photo IS the one who’s been in the dreams. I don’t know why and I’ll probably never know why, but please double up your prayers. And don’t be looking for me to ever make a reply like this again because it ‘just ain’t me.’
