WGN radio report of active shooter situation in Denver.
Thinking about you. My wife used to work in the offices in Union station across the street.
I heard a sheriff on the radio talking about looters in WV. “You better hope we find you first, some folks around here might not be as nice as the police.”
****Disclaimer*****
I heard it on the radio so this isn’t an exact quote. And it may not represent the opinions of the management of the radio station or it’s advertisers. Blah... blah..
Your forty-one years isn’t long enough to remember the Texas University bell tower massacre, but in 1966 forty-nine were shot and sixteen were killed by a shooter there. Maybe we weren’t as moral and reverent as you believe we were, or maybe we became moral and reverent after this incident, then fell back to immorality sometime after you were born.
That shooter had a large brain tumor. He was simply insame and a good shot as he had been a Marine.
I’m old enough to remember.
my six year old grandson is in for one heck of a life if we dont wake up...”
My fifteen-year-old grandson and I were talking about world issues this weekend. He is a born again Christian and very conservative. But he remarked that a lot of things that upset me or his parents don’t even bother those of his generation as that is all they have ever known and have no history of different times, particularly like grandparents do. He also brought up the frog in the pot issue.
We do have some pretty serious discussions which, on occasion, makes me glad I’m no longer a teenager, particularly in this day and age.
I’m thankful your granddaughter is OK. Grandma prayers for their grandchildren are powerful.
Nah it is down town. Closer to LoDo
I worked for a while in the Xcel building just up the street on 18th.
Thanks.
It has been gentrified. When I was growing up this was not a nice part of town
My buddy Karl spent a long time getting people to care about this area
Prayers for you and yours
No it is LoDo

Woman shot in downtown building, gunman dead.
The point I was trying to make is that extreme acts of violence on a grand scale seem to be more commonplace in this country today. Or dd they happen this often in the 1970s and 1980s, and we’ve only become more aware of them because of the internet?
I will stand by my view that a large segment of our populace believes in nothing larger than their own self, and as a result have very little means of coping rationally with the bad times in life. Others are motivated by hatred and evil. There does seem to be some correlation between an increase in secularism and the general decay of our society.
Cherry creek is over near the country club...east Denver
No where near
probably a sarah palin fan. #sarcasm
active shooter has become passive ex-shooter now
Apparently the shooter targeted the woman, then shot and killed himself. That sounds like a man shooting a girlfriend/wife,ex then himself.
Agreed. The area has been totally transformed from what at one time was basically skid row.
